Description

Roy was said to be the “world’s greatest unknown guitarist” and had a huge influence on Jeff Beck and others. This 104-minute full recording of a gig at a small club in Toronto in 1987, the year before his death, was filmed by a member of the club’s staff! Unfortunately, the single camera is fixed from the side of the stage, so you can’t see anything other than Roy’s figure, but his killer harmonic playing is also perfect. The content ranges from numbers from his last album “Hot Wires” released in the same year, to blues covers, Jimi Hendrix, and of course “Messiah.” This is a great live performance from his later years, where you can fully enjoy the unique sound that comes from his Telecaster! The recording time is 100 minutes.
