Description
This 53-minute recording of the Long Beach, California performance on April 15th from the 1973 US tour was taken from the original audience master owned by Barry Goldstein, a famous taper, friend of Mike Millard, and himself a master of recording. This almost complete recording of the day’s performance is of soundboard quality comparable to the Millard tapes, and although the performance time is short because they were opening for Fleetwood Mac and Purple, it perfectly reproduces the live performance from the precious period immediately after the release of “BLUEPRINT”. Moreover, it was right between the two major live albums, “LIVE IN EUROPE” and “IRISH TOUR ’74”, and the full-throttle blues rock performance is a must-listen for fans of the past.
