“The Gunslingers Tour”, which was performed by Bo Diddley and Ron Wood from 1987 to 1988, was also realized in Japan in March 1988. The live performance at Shibuya Live In, Tokyo on March 2nd was recorded as a stereo soundboard sound source from the FM On Air Master. Although it is not a complete tour because it is a broadcast sound source, this tour, which consisted of 10 performances across the country, was the first tour in Japan by an active member of the Stones, and immediately after this, Mick Jagger held a large-scale solo performance in Japan. Therefore, March 1988 was an exciting time for Stones fans. Then there was Diddley’s “CRACKIN’ UP,” the Faces’ number, and Ronnie’s “HONKY TONK WOMEN,” which now fills me with nostalgia. And the coupling DVD includes master quality, professional shot footage of the previous year’s November 1987 Ritz performance in New York. The video source is what was aired on TV in the United States, and although it has been officially released on VHS in the past in Japan, it has not yet been released on DVD, so fans should check it out as well.
