Description
This recording features the familiar KBFH broadcast recording of Wolfgang Voult’s “1978 Memphis Performance.” The June 28th Memphis performance actually only includes the “Shattered” performance, with the rest consisting mainly of performances in Detroit on July 6th and Houston on July 19th. Though recorded at multiple venues, the sound is consistent and the editing is smooth, resulting in a truly exceptional recording that anyone can enjoy over and over again. The sound quality is of course top-notch, with a stereo line recording that, while slightly compressed—a characteristic of Wolfgang recordings from that era—is generally acceptable. Cymbal sounds are also notably present, allowing for a stress-free listening experience of approximately 50 minutes of stunning live performance.
