Description
It is still fresh in my memory that during the Rolling Stones’ “NO FILTER” tour last year, the performance without any items was released as “LANDOVER 2019” because the sound source was hard to come by, but this time it will be held in New Jersey (hereinafter referred to as NJ). ) We will release two days at once. However, unlike Landover, as you know, NJ Sound Source has already released items. It was a sound source that was quietly circulating on the internet, which is rare these days, but since it was an audience recording with very good sound quality on both days, it will be added to the 2019 series with its own equalization. First of all, it’s the first day, but it’s an audience recording that sounds really good even if you listen to it again. The secret to its appeal is that there was no background noise that is common in American Stones shows, and the performance was captured in a very balanced way. Therefore, for this release, we have softened the areas where the midrange resonates, which is common in large venues such as MetLife Stadium. The echoes generated in these venues generally blur the contours of the performance, but by applying equalization to alleviate this, the contours of the performance came out more clearly. However, the original recording itself is a very high-level audience, so if you ask me if there is a dramatic upper feeling, that is not the case. However, by refining the excellent sound source, it has become easier to listen to. Regarding this NJ second performance, it is definitely a quality that everyone from beginners to enthusiasts can listen to with confidence. And although more than half a year has already passed since the performance, listening to it again, it is still a great performance. It was a day that received rave reviews from enthusiasts who actually witnessed the show that day, and it was definitely one of the top three on last year’s tour. In the opening two songs, especially “Let’s Spend The Night Together”, there are places where Charlie seems to be wondering which rhythm to beat, but such instability is also wiped out from “Tumbling Dice”. “Tumbling Dice” has the feel of a repertoire that even non-maniacs can hear, but it makes me keenly aware that by always playing these songs at the beginning, the band is able to find their groove. In fact, after this song, a performance that can be called a masterpiece medley of the first day of NJ continues. After all, “She’s A Rainbow” was the voting song on the first day. The performance, which takes full advantage of the light and pop atmosphere of the song, is without a doubt the best live take performed in recent years. It is natural that the performance of “You Can’t Always Get What You Want” becomes heated at such a favorable time. Furthermore, “Sweet Virginia” played on the B stage is wonderful as if the atmosphere of 1972, when the item was released last week, was revived. As the mania has already reported, the beginning of the following “Dead Flowers” will be Mick’s miraculous strange time signature singing, but here it is slapstick or Keith’s “Slipping Away” where he becomes unsteady. However, the great thing about this day is that the entire band was unwavering. As an unexpected happening, even though there is still one song left in Keith’s repertoire, it was a funny moment when Chuck Revere sounded a tone that hinted at the beginning of “Miss You”. And “Paint It Black” has a slightly slower tempo, but it’s still not at the level that makes you feel scared like Landover. Rather, perhaps they took a breather there, and the surging momentum and strength that followed “Midnight Rambler” was overwhelming. It is true that the slapstick feeling that is common in Stones in recent years can be seen here and there, but more than that, the performance with high morale throughout makes up for it. An audience album that captures this masterpiece with great sound quality. The vividness of the fireworks that go off after the performance is also unique to the original sound source. Please enjoy the fullness of this day to your heart’s content with the 2019 series, which has been familiar to enthusiasts since last year! It’s one of the best sound quality on tour! ! (Remastered memo) Although the sound quality is originally high, the hall sound in the midrange has been softened and made clearer. There are some songs where the bass is too loud, but I’ve softened the echoes so that you can hear the lines clearly.
