The ninth performance has already been completed, and by the time this article is published, preparations for the show will be steadily progressing at the 10th performance in Lyon. In the midst of all this, the Amsterdam performance of this work is the 7th performance out of a total of 14 performances. It was a concert that was just the halfway point. This work, which allows you to fully experience such a show, is the cutting edge of the ever-evolving multi-camera editing series. It seems that I write the same thing every week, but the quality improves as each one is layered, so it’s amazing. I thought “This is the best of the tour” at the two Hyde Park performances, but this work is even more amazing…. As for the type, it is a straight pro shot type. It is an edit in which the angle changes all the time during one song. Although the sound is a switching type, it is a little different from before. Conventionally, the sound changed at the same time as the angle was switched, but this work is a single superb recording within one song, and only the angle is switched. Since detailed production notes have not been made public, it is just my imagination, but I think that as much as possible, the same superb recording is used, and only the missing parts are supplemented with another recording. Of course, it would be ideal to record the full show in its entirety, but each song is more than enough to be fully immersed in. And the point this time is that the switching is dynamic. Recent multi-camera works have focused on close-ups and close-ups. The two Hyde Park performances were very powerful images that seemed to be shot almost entirely with close-ups. However, this work is different. Many close-ups that are comparable to Hyde Park are used, and distant shots from the stands are also effectively inserted. When Mick moves from left to right on the stage, the coolness of the close-ups and the positional relationship of the entire stage are quickly and casually switched to show the positional relationship. Moreover, the timing and angle selection are also in accordance with the song idea. The number of angles used and the quality of the zoom have clearly improved, but it is clear that the sense of switching has also definitely evolved. Such an evolved video depicts a full show full of rare songs. Let’s organize the set right away.
