Description

Released in 2007, the limited reissue version was immediately sold out, and the title was very well received due to its excellent sound quality. It will finally be released to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Stones’ debut! This title was a super high-quality sound source recorded by Taper, who is well known for his sound sources that are not available in various trader circles, but it can be said that it was a monumental recording for Mr. Taper in that all three days were recorded with an amazingly on sound image. Despite this, he decided to release it in 2007. “It has been six years since then, and this release has finally been realized, but the impact of the amazing sound quality has not faded at all even now. For this release, the recording, which had a powerful sound image but a somewhat flat texture, has been equalized to add some sharpness. Although the original sound quality is superb, I think you will enjoy an even richer sound this time. Since it is the last three days of the “A Bigger Bang” tour that took place over almost three years, you can consistently hear great performances every day. I would like to say that, but it’s the Stones, and even at this stage, the atmosphere on each day is completely different, and each performance was brilliantly dangerous, safe, and passionate (laughs). First of all, on the 21st, the beginning was a series of very tight performances. This is probably because they had the time to do the tour up to that point. However, when Beast Burden started, Keith was flashy and lost his way, and for a moment, I heard a scene that made me think, “Did he mistake it for Gimmie Shelter?” I think Mick had a hard time starting to sing. Perhaps this disorder affected the next song, Can’t You Hear Me Knocking, and the performance ended with each person in disarray and lacking unity. It’s a world apart from the performance on the final day. In this way, the performance was like the “Stones on the first day” in succession, but when they moved to the B stage, Charlie’s drums were amazing, as if he was trying to give the band a break. The drums in Satisfaction are especially spectacular, and you can hear the hard play with the best sound quality. Moreover, Charlie continues to hit even harder in Jumping Jack Flash and Brown Sugar, and you should definitely listen to his great drumming. On the 23rd, there was a series of safe and sound performances, including Mick’s passionate singing of Shine A Light. The high-speed performance of Midnight Rambler, which was only performed on this day, was like the intensity of the 70s was revived. I thought they would continue to run through the show at their best, but at the very end, Keith and the band did not mesh at the beginning of Brown Sugar, and the performance became a mess. Keith does it after all. And on the 26th, which is the final performance of the entire “Bigger Bang” tour, the Stones, including Mick, are obviously excited (laughs). From the beginning, there was a series of powerful performances, and I couldn’t help but listen to them. You Got Me Rocking and Can’t You Hear Me Knocking were performed on a completely different level from the 21st, and you can experience how different the performance of the same song can be in just a few days. Mick’s shout in I’ll Go Crazy, a tribute to Ray Charles, was also outstanding during the three days at O2. The recording itself was only on this day on the B stage, which made the sound image feel distant, but it still maintained a high level of sound quality. And the final performance, Brown Sugar, had a long ending as if to regret the end of the long tour, and it ended with a very moving performance. Not only was the sound quality the best, but the performance content of each of the three days was worth listening to (of course the best was the 26th), so I would like you to listen to the differences and compare them. Even among the many items released during the “Bigger Bang” tour, this famous sound source that still shines is finally being released on CD, so don’t miss it!
