Description

The final day of the “NO FILTER” tour, which was recorded at the end of last month, was in Paris. The news that the tour had ended safely is still fresh in our memory, but this week we will release a day in Paris. This time, the Paris performance was the only one that closed the tour with three performances, but the release will release the performance on October 25th, which was the third and final day of the tour. It is a combination of Munich at the beginning of the tour and the third day of Paris, the final day. Looking back now, it was actually the three performances up to Austria that showed the Stones’ stage where they were not in top form. From there, the Stones woke up in the famous performance in Zurich, and the period when enthusiasts all over the world were so upset (lol) at the beginning was actually short. However, the sound quality of the sound source released this time is quite rough. Of course, it is not at the level of the four heavenly kings of the “NO FILTER” tour, which now includes the new Munich. There may be some characteristics of the venue, but the echo is strong overall. And the overall sound quality is rather a bit too loud. In addition, in some places the limiter is activated and the sound is slightly recessed. However, strangely enough, the balance of each part of the performance is surprisingly close. I am particularly surprised at the on-board and realistic balance of Mick’s voice. If the sound image was blurred with this sound quality, it would be branded as a B-class audience with a simple hazy sound. However, by taking advantage of the sound quality that firmly captures the contours of each part, we have carried out equalization and evolved it into an upper state that is much more audible than the original sound source. Of course, the original sound source was circulating on the Internet, and some people may already have it. I would rather you listen and compare the difference with the original sound. Although it is a recording state surrounded by echo, the balance point that Mick’s voice can be heard through is too high. Thanks to this, a release that you can enjoy without stress was realized. As it is the last day of the tour, the stage is the best performance throughout the whole work. From the beginning of the show, compared to the time in Hamburg, the liveliness is so good that you would literally want to call it another dimension. It’s a month and a half since that slow, sluggish performance, and it’s moving to think that the Stones’ performance has reached this level. The interesting thing about this “NO FILTER” tour is that you can hear the change of “the elderly Stones regaining their sense of live performance”. In this tour, the two blues songs that played the role of pacemaker in the first half of each show have finally been promoted to a spectacular performance. Especially in “Ride ‘Em on Down”, Ronnie’s guitar playing explodes. The same applies to the solo of “You Can’t Always Get What You Want”, but I can’t help but think that the performance level of the “NO FILTER” tour was largely due to Mick, as well as Ronnie’s encouragement. By the way, there is a video on YouTube of Ronnie playing the interlude of “Ride ‘Em~” with great energy, but Ronnie’s guitar playing was really great not only on this day but also on this tour. Of course, Mick also maintained the hyper voltage that seems to be the last day of the tour, but it was precisely because of such excellent condition that “She’s So Cold” stood out. Not only is his high-tension singing superb, but Keith and Charlie also give a good performance with momentum. I don’t want to hear a sluggish performance on this song, and I think it was wise that this song was not featured at the beginning of the tour. As mentioned earlier, the audience recording released this time has a slightly stimulating texture, and it was “She’s A Rainbow”, which was the voting song for this day, that fit perfectly. Although it is short-lived, this song represents the Stones’ pop band era from 1966 to 1967. The appeal of this sound source is that it captures the atmosphere of the lively performance nicely. Anyway, the final day in Paris was a great performance overall, but if there was one thing that was a bit rough, it was that a strange sound rang out loud during “Paint It Black”. The main culprit was of course Keith. It was a mistake that reminded me of the intro to “Beast Of Burden” in Munich, which was released at the same time. This is probably a specialty of the “NO FILTER” tour (laughs). Still, Keith was in a good mood from start to finish, and it was soothing to see him introduce Mick after the usual member introductions. Of course, this was after Mick had retreated, but it was still moving. The first of the long-awaited “NO FILTER” tour finale sound sources was on the final day. The Stones’ thrilling tour, which will remain in the history of their live performances, has finally reached a spectacular finale. The rough sound quality mentioned earlier has been equalized by our shop, making it much easier to hear, and you can enjoy the realism of the day with a rich balance.
