Description
This time, we will introduce the US original stereo version of England’s Newest Hit Makers, the Stones’ first album in the US. The mono version was released in May 1964, but the stereo version was released the following year in May 1965. This US stereo version is a pseudo-stereo version. As you know, this analog UK version was only released in mono, and the US version has been in circulation since at least the 1970s as a pseudo-stereo version. The difference between the UK version and the US version is that the US version includes a cut version of Not Fade Away and Mona as the first track. Also, Tell Me is not a version that is over 4 minutes long, but a version that has been edited to about 3 minutes. Of course, the demo version included in the first UK version is not included at all on the US version. The features of this album are the pseudo-stereo recording that you won’t notice even if you listen to it at first, and the cutting at a very high sound pressure. Also, the label only says THE ROLLING STONES, so perhaps the original title of this album is THE ROLLING STONES, just like the UK version. In Japan, the pseudo-stereo version of this album was probably the most familiar format. Also, from the second album onwards, albums with completely different content were released in the UK and the US. Real stereo versions appeared in the US with the sixth album, Aftermath, and all stereo versions up until that point had been released as pseudo-stereo versions. The pseudo-stereo versions that were common on vinyl records in the past are now a thing of the past. Enjoy the nostalgic pseudo-stereo sound on the original US stereo version!
