In June 2017, the band released their first album in 25 years, Is This The Life We Really Want?, and the third day of the large-scale North American tour “US + THEM TOUR 2017” was recorded in St. Swiss on May 30th, 135 minutes in full digital audience recording. The high-end microphone recording was made by carefully analyzing the sound effects on the left and right sides of the arena, and when listening with headphones, various sound effects fly around clearly. The show was a series of breathtaking spectacles, and was packed with huge video effects that were inherited from the previous year’s show, making it the most cutting-edge entertainment of our time. Highlights include the huge Battersea Power Station that appears with a roar, and “Pigs (Three Different Ones)” that mocks President Trump. In the middle of the show, prior to the album release, numbers such as “When We Were Young”, “Deja Vu”, “The Last Refugee” and “Picture That” are also performed, showing the band’s ongoing stance. As for Floyd numbers, while the previous year’s re-enactment of most of “Fire” and “Animals” was a hot topic, this tour also includes “Another Brick in the Wall Part 3”, which was not performed last year.
