Roger Waters/Canada 1985

On March 23, 1985, Toronto recorded a performance at Maple Leaf Gardens in super high quality and in full. Speaking of the “Pros and Cons Of Hitch-Hiking” world tour, the live performance accompanied by Clapton immediately comes to mind, but in the tour that took place in March the following year, Jay Stapley, who would later participate in the albums “When the Wind Blows” and “Radio Kaos” and the 1987 tour, participated as a guitarist and gave a wonderful performance. The characteristic of the 1985 tour was that the first half of the set, which was a series of Floyd classics, was completely changed, and the opening song was Welcome To The Machine, which was well received by the audience, and the second song was “Sun Hymn”, which was the opening song of the 1984 tour. In addition, Get Your Filthy Hands Off My Desert/Southampton Dock from “Final Cut” is performed in the middle, and at the end of the first part, Another Brick Part 1 and 2 are performed with Happiest Days Of Our Lives in between, dramatically livening up the wall-loving America. New member Jay Stapley adds a touch of glamour to the whole album with his bold and detailed guitar playing with a thick and modern sound. The 1984 tour featuring Clapton’s unique playing is also wonderful, but the live performance of the 1985 show, which was less than 15 times, is incomparably wonderful, and Roger’s original charm seems to explode even more than on the 1984 tour, and the success of this short tour must have given him great confidence. As mentioned above, the sound quality is superb, and there is no doubt that this is the sound source that represents the 1985 tour.
