Description

Robin Trower in 1973, who climbed the ladder of success as a solo debut. Introducing a superb soundboard album that conveys that precious studio live. This work was recorded at Seawest Studio on August 13, 1973. It is an FM soundboard recording broadcast on Seattle’s local station “KOL”. 1973 was a popular period, so we have a lineup of masterpieces in our shop. The classic pro shot “BATACLAN 1973” at the top, as well as the soundboard albums “SAUSALITO 1973” and “ATLANTA 1973: PRE-BROADCAST MASTER REEL” have been very well received. In order to explain the positional relationship with such masterpieces, let’s first look back at the schedule at that time.・January 29th-February 17th: Europe #1 (8 performances) {“TWICE REMOVED FROM YESTERDAY” released in March}・March 2nd-20th: Europe #2 (12 performances)・April 25th-June 9th: UK (34 performances)・June 22nd-29th: Europe #3 (3 performances)←※BATACLAN 1973・July 22nd-September 4th: North America #1 (21 performances)←★Here★・October 19th-November 10th: North America #2 (14 performances)This is Robin Trower during his solo debut. The radio appearance of this work was during “North America #1”, but the above “SAUSALITO 1973” and “ATLANTA 1973” were also the same “North America #1”. Let’s zoom in more detail. North America #1 Details ・July 22-August 6 (9 performances) *August 11 “SAUSALITO 1973” *August 13: Sea West Studio ←★This work★ ・August 17-24 (6 performances) *August 30 “ATLANTA 1973” ・August 31-September 4 (4 performances) This is the total of 21 performances of “North America #1”. This work of Seattle broadcasting was not as famous as “SAUSALITO 1973” because it was a local station, but it is also a studio live performance that appeared on radio. Moreover, it is the most recent sister recording, two days later. And this work is the highest peak of such studio live. It is a master released by the prestigious “JEMS”, but it was originally recorded by the late Stan Gutski, one of the founding staff of “JEMS”. He was a famous taper who made a name for himself in audience recordings around Seattle, but he was also a recordist who left behind countless masterpieces in FM radio air checks. LED ZEPPELIN, THE WHO, Bruce Springsteen, David Bowie, CSN&Y, Joni Mitchell, etc. His masters are known as the best recordings of the 70s. This work is a masterpiece among masterpieces, created directly from the 10.5-inch master reel that was left behind by Mr. Gutsky. In fact, the sound is the best ever. It is a mono recording, and it is not as official as the ultra-high quality “SAUSALITO 1973”, but that is the individuality of the broadcast itself. In addition to the zero-distance/close-contact sound board, you can feel the closed room feeling that comes from a studio live performance. Even the electromagnetic noise that the amplifier emits when there is no sound is clear, and you can experience a sense of synchronization as if your head has become the broadcast song itself. The super direct sound is poured into your brain with the great performance of Robin, who has just become independent. The set is the same as “SAUSALITO 1973” even in the song order, but here let’s reorganize it while comparing it with another classic, the pro shot “BATACLAN 1973”. Robin Trower (5 songs) Twice Removed From Yesterday (★) / Daydream / I Can’t Wait Much Longer (★) / Man Of The World / Sinner’s Song (★) Soul Guitar (4 songs) The Fool And Me (★) / Lady Love (★) / Day Of The Eagle / Little Bit Of Sympathy *Note: “★” marks are songs that cannot be heard on the classic pro shot “BATACLAN 1973”. … and so on. Half of the killer songs were selected from “TWICE REMOVED FROM YESTERDAY” and “BRIDGE OF SIGHS” and condensed and reduced to the broadcast time frame (about 45 minutes). It may seem a bit lacking as a live performance, but this is exactly the length of one LP. In other words, it is a studio album that pushes two of the early masterpieces into one and explodes with live performance tension. The first thing you should experience is the stereo broadcast of “SAUSALITO 1973”, but this work is also a sequel album that has updated the past peak. Designed by Stan Gutsky, who launched the prestigious “JEMS”. FM soundboard recording at “Sea West Studios on August 13, 1973”. A masterpiece that was digitized directly from the 10.5-inch reel of the late Stan Gutsky (a founding member of the prestigious JEMS), who left behind many historical masters of 1970s broadcasts. The sound is the best ever, and the sense of synchronization is tremendous, as if your brain has become the broadcasting studio itself. You can enjoy a condensed and reduced studio live performance of two of the great early albums, “Robin Trower” and “Soul Guitar”. Sea West Studios, Seattle, WA, USA 13th August 1973 SBD (44:26) 1.
