Description

In 1985, Robert Plant was solidifying his footing as a solo artist with four consecutive hits, including THE HONEYDRIPPERS. Two original recordings by the prestigious “Kinney” that conveys the scene will be released at the same time. The first part of this work includes “June 17, 1985 Inglewood Performance”. It is a live album that was recorded at that “THE FORUM” and Plant himself even says “BADGE HOLDERS ONLY Part 2!” This show is naturally an act of “SHAKEN AND STIRRED TOUR”, but “THE FORUM” is too special. Since this is a good opportunity, we will leave the tour overview to the simultaneously released sister work “EAST RUTHERFORD 1985”, and here we will explain “THE FORUM performance after ZEP”.・September 27, 1983: “PRINCIPLE OF MOMENTS TOUR”・June 17, 1985: “SHAKEN AND STIRRED TOUR”←★This work★・June 14, 1988: “NON STOP GO TOUR”・1995 May 16th: “PAGE & PLANT TOUR” May 17th, 1995: “PAGE & PLANT TOUR” A total of 5 performances. Only in 1983 was it in early autumn, but since then it has been in May and June. The 1977 tour that produced “LISTEN TO THIS EDDIE” and “FOR BADGE HOLDERS ONLY” was also in June, so the story of eight years ago is revived. Although I don’t think it was planned, it is a show in which the plant itself touches on “FOR BADGE HOLDERS ONLY” in the MC (!). Aside from that, this work, which conveys such a special scene, is also special in quality. As expected, it’s not as good as a Mike Millard recording, but that doesn’t mean it was recorded in that way. This is a masterpiece that was made directly into CD from the original cassette by Japan’s prestigious “Kinney”. The quality is truly delicious sound. Not only does it have the clean clarity that is characteristic of “Kinney,” but it also has a wonderfully active and powerful core. Although the sound of the hall is absorbed, it is completely integrated with the 80’s effect and does not give a sense of distance. Not only is the outline of each performance sound clear, but even when the chorus overlaps with Plant’s vocals, each individual’s voice overlaps and does not rub together. I don’t mistake it for a soundboard in terms of tone or feel, but I do forget about it. When the applause erupts between songs, it is an extremely famous recording that makes you think, “Come to think of it, it was a guest record.” With such a powerful sound, it is a show that sums up the ZEP sealing era. In fact, this show had a legendary LP bootleg even in the analog era, but it is just an excerpt. On the other hand, this work is a full recording that can be enjoyed for more than 135 minutes. Let’s organize the set while checking out the songs that could not be heard on the LP. PICTURES AT ELEVEN (3 songs) / Pledge Pin / Burning Down One Side (★) / Slow Dancer THE PRINCIPLE OF MOMENTS (5 songs) / In The Mood / Thru’ With The Two Step / Messin’ With The Mekon (★) / Other Arms (★) / Big Log The HONEYDRIPPERS: VOLUME ONE (3 songs), Rockin’ At Midnight (★) / Young Boy Blues / Sea Of Love SHAKEN ‘N’ STIRRED (6 songs), Pink And Black / Doo Doo A Do Do/Little By Little/Too Loud(★)/Easily Lead/Kallalou Kallalou Cover (2 songs)・(Every Time I Hear) That Mellow Saxophone(Roy Montrell)/Honey Hush(Big Joe Turner:★) *Note: Songs marked with “★” cannot be heard on the LP bootleg “FOR BADGE HOLDERS ONLY Pt.3”. …and it looks like this. From “NON STOP GO TOUR”, the ZEP number will also be lifted, but here there is none. Instead (?), in the second half of the show, we set up a “THE HONEYDRIPPERS” corner that was a hit last year, and you can enjoy a gorgeous ensemble that also introduced a horn section. Also, although the date is close to “EAST RUTHERFORD 1985” released at the same time, the set is different, and the new songs “Doo Doo A Do Do”, “Easily Lead”, and “Kallalou” from “SHAKEN ‘N’ STIRRED” that cannot be heard in the sister release are included. Kallalou” will also be performed. Including these three songs, you can enjoy the full show full of rare songs only for this tour. The show itself is what’s important, but what really grabs your attention is the MC mentioned above. After finishing the third song, “Pink And Black,” Plant makes his first greeting, and says, “Good evening. This is exactly FOR BADGE HOLDERS ONLY part 2.” This work is also a famous recording where you can clearly and clearly understand every word of the MC, which cannot be found anywhere else. It is a full live album of the valuable “SHAKEN AND STIRRED TOUR” and is a vacuum-packed product by “Kinney” of the scene of “THE FORUM” which gave birth to many legends. A number of valuable numbers with beautiful sounds by prestigious Japanese artists and MCs that will tickle collectors’ hearts.
