Description

Two amazing new masters will be released simultaneously from the original DAT series, which is full of masterpieces! This is a sister work that revives the scene of “Hard Rock Richie”‘s last visit to Japan in 1995 with superb sound. This work is the first of two simultaneous releases. It is a super-class audience recording of the performance “November 14, 1995: Kyoto Kaikan”. 1995 was RAINBOW’s only visit to Japan in the 1990s and Richie’s last time playing hard rock. Our shop archived the monumental tour with a number of classic live albums. It is also a simultaneous release with “FUKUOKA 1995 DAT MASTER”, so let’s start by looking back at the schedule while organizing our collection.・November 11th “FLY BY NIGHT (Yoyogi)”・November 12th “RETURN OF THE BLACK (Yoyogi)”・November 14th: Kyoto Kaikan ←★This work★・November 16th “OSAKA 1995 1ST NIGHT (Fukuoka Prefectural Gymnasium)”・November 17th “NAGOYA 1995 DAT MASTER”・November 19th “TEARS IN BLACK (Osaka)”・November 20th “FUKUOKA 1995: DAT MASTER”・November 22nd “KILLING FLOOR (Yokohama Bunka Gymnasium)”・November 23rd “ELECTRIC EVER (NK Hall)”※Only representative recordings on each day. That’s a total of 9 performances. With these two titles this week, the complete set of all performances has finally been realized. In the midst of all this, the Kyoto performance of this work was the third concert, which was the first step in stretching out my legs west after two performances in Tokyo. This work recorded at such a show is a superb sound with “super”. What’s amazing is that it’s ferociously on and direct. There’s no sense of distance… or rather, it’s so tight that it feels like a vacuum (of course, if it was really a vacuum, it would be silent). The guitar and bass are especially amazing. The direct feeling alone is enough to call it “like a sound board”, but the fineness is extraordinary. Not only a little whisper phrase, but the picking nuances are also vivid. Or rather, the fingertips pick up even the slightest vibration of the strings that they brushed against the hon. Moreover, the stability is also outstanding, so it’s a double surprise. Normally, when it’s that thick and tight, it’s not strange that noise and distortion occur in the peak sound, but in this work, the attack is beautiful and it’s always beautiful until the moment of silence. The beauty doesn’t change whether it’s a whisper phrase or a bomb in one go. Along with the guitar, the bass is also amazing. Heavy bass tends to be a weak point in customer recordings, but in this work, the attack of each sound stands out clearly, and you can clearly hear that they are connected like beads to create a groove. The contours do not become blurred, sparse, or crushed. I have handled countless recordings of many bands, but is this really a spatial recording through the atmosphere? The master was given to me by the recorder himself, so I am definitely an audience, but when I listened to it, it seemed to be only the finest IEMs. No, the beauty of this glossy, melting Stratocaster and the rich tone of the bass cannot be found in rugged IEMs. After all, it’s the audience… that’s what it is… after all. The final blow to such surprise and confusion is the lack of audience noise. If you listen carefully with headphones, you can hear that it is absorbing a little cheering and clapping, but it’s really subtle. It’s an incredible super sound. The transcendent sound depicts a full show that boasts one of the most diverse performances in Japan in 1995. The set of all performances in Japan in 1995 is different, so let’s organize it here. Fixed songs (12 songs) ・ Solitary Stranger: Too Late For Tears / Hunting Humans / Wolf To The Moon / Still I’m Sad / Black Masquerade / Ariel / Hall Of The Mountain King ・ Others: Difficult To Cure / Temple Of The King / Since You Been Gone / Perfect Strangers / Burn Daily songs (7 songs + α) ・ Semi-fixed songs: Spotlight Kid / Long Live Rock’n’Roll / Man On The Silver Mountain ・ Position-changing songs: Street Of Dreams / Stone Cold / Maybe Next Time / Smoke On The Water ・ Others: Waltzing Matilda / The Northern Lights Of Old Aberdeen / Greensleeves … and so on. Regarding the classification method, I will leave it to the commentary of “FUKUOKA 1995 DAT MASTER” released at the same time, but what I want you to pay attention to here is the variety of the song selection. Seven original songs that were semi-standard were prepared for each day, but they were all played in Kyoto. On top of that, Richie and Dougie also performed three fun traditional songs. Of course, the amount of play is also proof that Richie is in a good mood. The most of the nine performances was the second day of Yoyogi, where “Woman From Tokyo” jumped out, but the momentum continued in this work the next day. In any case, it is a superb sound with “super”. It is a live album that allows you to fully enjoy the famous recording of a great performance with plenty of freshness because it is the original DAT. A new masterpiece that will symbolize “Ritchie’s last HR visit to Japan”. A superb audience recording of the performance “November 14, 1995: Kyoto Kaikan”. The direct sound is intense and there is no sense of distance, and the guitar and bass are especially amazing. Not only the slightest whispered phrases, but even the vibration of the strings that the fingertips barely touch can be picked up. The attack of each note of the bass stands out clearly, and you can clearly hear them lined up like beads creating a groove. This is an amazing new masterpiece that allows you to experience a variety of great performances with a lot of fun even during his visit to Japan in 1995 (remaster memo). The balance is biased towards the guitar, but the sound quality is super high. (Only sound pressure adjustment, no equalization) It is a rare surprise recording that picks up the subtle nuances of the guitar to this extent. Moreover, there is little cheering/applause.
