Description
The most heroic masterpiece of the early literary trilogy, “King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table”. A special mix of this work has been decided to be released. The true identity of this work is a 4-channel mix of “King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table”. The 2015 deluxe edition also included quadraphonic on the DVD, but this work is not that, but digitized from “QU-54515” produced by A&M Records in 1975, the same as the original release. It is an official album that has been dropped so that it can be enjoyed in 2ch stereo. King Arthur has been reborn more gorgeously. The greatest taste of this work is the appearance of the masterpiece, which has been greatly transformed. Of course, the songs and the main arrangements are the same, but sounds that are not on the regular version pop out from here and there, the balance is different, and the production processing is different. For example, “Guinevere”. The regular version starts with a piano with such a bold effect that you think it is a different instrument, but this work is a straightforward live piano in volume z. The vocals sung by the two singers are a completely equal duet, whereas the original has a clear difference between the main and side vocals, and the dynamism of the elaborate harmony arrangement is very luxurious. The following “Sir Lancelot And The Black Knight” is also completely different from the intro. The familiar regular version starts heroically with strings, but this work also features piano. Wakeman is going wild from the beginning. The points listed here are only the points that are easy to put into words. There are also phrases that make use of the wide range of 4ch in all the songs, making “King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table” richer and more gorgeous overall. The key point is that these differences are not added later. It was produced in 1975, the same year as the familiar regular version, and the arrangements and ornaments of this work are all what Rick had in mind at the time. Unlike modern self-covers, this work also has a strong persuasive power that “this is also one of the originals.” Even richer and more lustrous analog sound. Not only is the mix different, but the sound of this work is also wonderful. This is also rich, thick and dense like analog. Current remastered versions tend to emphasize the edge of the attack sound in an attempt to highlight each instrument and each sound, but this work is different. Because it is 4ch, a wide variety of sounds can be included, and even if the sound is extremely thick, it feels like the performance will enter the vast stereo space as much as you want. Of course, this work is reduced to 2ch, so it does not have infinite width, but you can still enjoy the richness of the extremely thick sound. Perhaps because the playback device has evolved since then, the sounds do not clash with each other even in 2ch. The great masterpiece “King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table” has been loved for its magnificent arrangement and worldview in the trilogy. This is a quadraphonic version that further increases the volume of its merits. This is a valuable record that spells out the even more diverse and complex ensemble with rich analog sound. The 4ch version released in 1975 is released. This gorgeous version is packed with phrases that can’t be heard on the regular version.
