Description
This is a 45-minute digest of a live performance at Park West in Chicago on May 4, 1983 from the American TV program “USA Hot Spots,” recorded in ultra-high quality. In the past, this footage has been circulating among traders in poor quality, but this footage, which suddenly appeared in recent years, is truly amazing and completely surpasses it. Renaissance released “Time Line,” which was their last album of the second period, in the same year, and then disbanded, but it is a thrill to see the three members, Annie Haslam, Michael Dunford, and John Camp (although it is unfortunate that keyboardist John Tout and drummer Terence Sullivan are not there), in such high quality that it is hard to believe. The set list is chosen from almost all of the albums, like a compilation of the second period, and it is enjoyable for Renaissance fans in their heyday. The last classic “Ashes Are Burning” starts halfway through, but Annie’s powerful vocals are a must-see for fans. Anyway, it’s not often that you can see the Renaissance with such a small amount of footage in such high quality. This is a highly recommended item that prog fans must see.
