Description

RATT, the male LA metal band, restarted with a new lineup in 2018. Their latest live album is now available. What is recorded in this work is “December 16, 2019 Foxboro performance”. This is a masterpiece audience recording. RATT reunited with Warren De Martini in 2017, but Warren, who did not want to tour, left in 2018. Now that there were only two members, Stephen Percy and Foan Kruche, they rebuilt the band with the addition of former BLACK & BLUE’s Peter Holmes, KNIGHT FURY’s Chris Saunders, and Jordan Ziff, and resumed live performances. did. It was initially mentioned that they would be releasing a new album in 2019, but it seems like they are focusing on touring for now. First of all, let’s start with their activity schedule in order to know what they are up to. 2019 / May 4th – June 8th: North America #1 (4 performances) / June 28th – August 17th: North America #2 (12 performances) / September 13th – December 30th: North America #3 (23 performances) ←★Here★ 2020, May 3 + July 25: North America #4 (2 performances), July 31 – August 8: Europe (4 performances) This is what has been announced so far 2019/2020 RATT. Only six performances have been announced this year, but the pace has been picking up little by little since the restart in 2017, and last year was the highest number of performances since the restart. The Foxboro performance of this work is the final performance of 2019. This was the 14th concert of “North America #3”. This work recorded at such a show is truly the best audience recording. That’s no wonder, the person who made this work is “Farve4”, who is rumored to be a modern master. This person’s recordings always have good sound, and the latest recordings of Steve Hackett, FLEETWOOD MAC, THE EAGLES, etc. are very popular at our store. In terms of HR/HM, Ozzy Osbourne’s “MANSFIELD 2018 (Shades 975)” is also part of the “Farve4 Collection.” And this work is also a work that will further increase its fame. Anyway, the core is extremely thick, there is no sense of distance, and yet it is beautiful. The snare, which tends to sound sparse in the audience, is also dense, and the guitar is so vivid that you can feel the vibration of the strings. Of course, Stephen’s vocals are clear down to every single word of the lyrics. That’s “just like a sound board.” In Japan, it sounds like a recording by “Western Japan’s Strongest Taper”. What is depicted with such a sound is “THE BEST OF RATT” that has been narrowed down ultimately. In order to get a feel for how rich it is, let’s organize the set here. RATT (2 songs)・You Think You’re Tough/Walking the Dog OUT OF THE CELLAR (6 songs)・Wanted Man/I’m Insane/In Your Direction/Lack of Communication/Back for More/Round and Round INVASION OF YOUR PRIVACY (3 songs)・Dangerous but Worth the Risk/Lay It Down/You’re in Love DANCING UNDERCOVER (2 songs)・Slip of the Lip/Body Talk Others (3 songs)・REACH FOR THE SKY: Way Cool Jr・DETONATOR: Lovin’ You is a Dirty Job ・Movie “Heart Blue”: Nobody Rides for Free…and so on. A spectacular set with all the major songs from the golden era, from the debut EP “RATT” to “DETONATOR”. In fact, most of the songs were selected for the traditional best-of album “RATT & ROLL 81-91,” with the exceptions being “Walking the Dog,” “I’m Insane,” “In Your Direction,” and “Dangerous but Worth the “Risk” is a staple at live performances. It’s so gorgeous that it makes you think, “Maybe they picked up the songs that have been played the most, starting from the top.” Although there is no enjoyment of rare songs, RATT, which has no official live album in the first place, is refreshing just by playing live, especially if it is a new lineup. In fact, the ensemble is modern and sharp. While basically respecting the original, technical phrases are mixed in with the random twin obri, and the rhythm section is also tight. Although age is evident in Stephen’s vocals, that unique voice quality is still alive and well. It’s completely different from 2018, when I made a huge mistake (I took painkillers and alcohol at the same time and became exhausted at one show). He will perform a collection of all-time masterpieces with his powerful singing voice. RATT seemed to have run out of luck in 2018 due to Warren’s departure and Shaw’s failure. But their momentum is picking up again. This is a live album where you can experience the revival of 2019 with the best sound. Regardless of the current situation, this is a masterpiece that can be enjoyed as a “best live performance album.” This is the latest 2-disc set that you should enjoy at the beginning of 2020, when the zodiac signs are on your side.
