Description

This is amazing, surprising, and interesting! This amazing compilation has been born, making the deep dreams of maniacs come true! The true nature of this work is a soundboard compilation created by an overseas RAINBOW researcher. It is not just a collection of past sound sources. It is a realization of “non-existent takes” that maniacs fantasize about, such as “I wanted to hear it with the phantom members” and “I wish there was a take like this”. It is a dream compilation created with official quality. Yes. I don’t know what I’m talking about. The only way to appreciate this greatness is to introduce each take. This work is composed of eras and types like the original “FINYL VINYL”, but here we will introduce it by “style”. Mood-enhancing SE tracks (3 songs) “The Land of Hope & Glory”, “Dorothy’s Narration”, and “Somewhere Over The Rainbow” When you play this work, the first thing that comes up is “The Land of Hope & Glory”. The opening and ending of this work contain songs that are familiar as SEs of live performances. When you think about it, there has never been a compilation that included a regular take, and the editing is also great, with attention to detail, such as the connection between the fanfare and “Somewhere Over The Rainbow”. It creates a mood that is very RAINBOW-like, but this is just a bonus. The true value of this work explodes after this… The studio take that made the dream come true (Ronnie era: 4 songs) “Kill The King”, “Man On The Silver Mountain”, “Gates Of Babylon”, and “A Light In The Black” This section is the biggest shock of this work! It is a creative take based on the official studio take. The first “Kill The King” is a surprise. The left channel is the original take of “Gates of Babylon”, and the right channel is a rough mix version. Both are familiar takes, but when they sound at the same time, it is incredibly fresh and powerful. Of course, they are not simply played simultaneously, but the tempo is perfectly synchronized. It is a “new Kill The King” that you have never heard before. Even more amazing is “Man On The Silver Mountain”. It is a studio version with Cozy Powell playing the drums! Gary Driscoll played on “Silver Mountain Conqueror”, but that drum take was beautifully removed. The drum track of “ON STAGE” where Cozy plays is synchronized with it. I think everyone has fantasized at least once that “If Cozy had played the first album, it would have been even better…”, and now you can actually hear that “brain RAINBOW”! “Gates Of Babylon” is a different kind of fun. It is based on a take from an appearance on the famous program “Don Kirshner’s Rock Concert”. At this time, the backing band’s performance was the same as the studio album, and only Ronnie’s vocals were replaced. The deluxe edition of “The Gates of Babylon” includes the “main broadcast version” and the “outtake”, and these two are remixed in this work. This is surprisingly interesting, with the two Ronnies engaged in a vocal battle on different lines. I knew that the two takes were slightly different, but I never thought that overlapping them would have such an effect…it’s like a Columbus egg. Up until this point, the dream had taken the lead, but at the end, the new version “A Light In The Black” is purely musically amazing. The left channel is remixed with the “Rough mix version”, the center with the “LA mix version”, and the right channel with the “NY mix version”. I wondered what the point of doing such a thing was…but it was a big ant. The powerful “A Light In The Black” that rushes forward like a heavy tank has been born. Studio takes that realized the dream (Graham era / Joe era: 3 songs) “Eyes Of The World” “Lost In Hollywood” “Anybody There” The dream’s embodied take is not from Ronnie’s era. “Eyes Of The World” and “Lost In Hollywood” from the Graham era are also great! The dream that these two takes made come true was “rough mix with vocals”. The rough mix of “Down to Earth” is an instrumental, and many people may think, “It’s valuable, but I don’t feel like listening to it over and over again unless it has vocals…”. At least, that’s what the researcher who produced this work must have thought. The vocal track from the official version of “Down to Earth” is synchronized with the rough mix of the instrumental. What comes out of this is not just a “new version that you’ve never heard before”. Don Airey was not happy with the final official album and said, “The demo I have is even better…”. The two songs you can listen to on this work are the “even better Down to Earth” that Don mentioned. What’s more, the level of completion is shocking. If you’ve ever done synchronization work, you’ll know that it’s extremely difficult to synchronize the same song if the performance is different. The tempo is different, the length doesn’t match, and even if you overlap them, it just sounds uncomfortable. However, in this work, it is as natural as if it was a “rough mix with vocals” from the beginning. Perhaps it was finely adjusted and matched, but the precision alone is impressive. Moreover, the performance of “Eyes Of The World” is layered with two types of rough mix, and the guitar solo of “Lost In Hollywood” is re-edited to be shorter to match the length of the rough mix. It is truly the crystallization of mania’s love. The best soundboard live (6 songs) “Long Live Rock & Roll (Atlanta 1978)”, “Stargazer (Monsters Of Rock 1980)”, “Spotlight Kid (Boston 1981)”, “I Surrender (Budokan 1981)”, “Catch The Rainbow (Budokan 1984)”, “Death Alley Driver (Cardiff 1983)” There are a ton of amazing new studio tracks, but this work is also full of live performances, just like the original “FINYL VINYL”. It is selected from official rare tracks and official soundboards, and the entire album summarizes the golden 70s and 80s. It is roughly based on the original take, but there was a shocking take here as well. There are some minor corrections, such as the positioning of “Spotlight Kid” being correctly corrected, but the most striking one is “Stargazer”. It’s a live performance at the legendary “First Monsters of Rock”, but three different takes are synchronized. The left channel is the legendary compilation LP version, the center is the official live CD version from 2016, and the right channel is a remix of the take from the 6-disc compilation “A LIGHT IN THE BLACK”. This also has the same power and dynamism as “A Light In The Black”. It’s a super powerful take that makes you feel like you’re watching a historic festival in the front row. All together, 16 songs and 79 minutes and 32 seconds of treasures. The “take I wanted to hear” that was only playing in my head actually plays… this feeling is something you can’t get anywhere else. Just thinking that “there are people who were thinking the same thing…” is deeply moving, and I’m moved by the precision of the actual creation. This is the birth of a dream come true. An amazing compilation of the finest songs that embodies the “dream of a maniac”. This album includes the studio version of “Man On The Silver Mountain” played by Cozy, the rough mix of “Eyes Of The World” and “Lost In Hollywood” with vocals, and other rare tracks that you’ve always wanted to listen to but don’t actually exist. The level of completion, using various official takes and the finest soundboards, is official class. A dream compilation that will move you like no other is born. Rainbow’s ultimate bootleg is here! I’m glad I got to hear this before I die… The best, greatest, and most important 80 minutes of my life!Ultimate Studio & Live Tracks Compilation 1975-198416trk (79:32) 1. The Land of Hope & Glory 2.
