Description
Almost a complete recording of the Birmingham Odeon performance on September 11th from the UK tour accompanying the 1976 “Rising” album with high-quality audience recording. The UK tour started in Bristol on August 31st and ended in Newcastle on September 14th, with a total of 10 performances, and amazing live performances that were passed down to legends were held at various locations. This album contains high-quality recordings of the Birmingham performance following London 2 Days (9/7-8), and captures the enthusiastic mood unique to hard rock sympathizers typical of the Birmingham that gave birth to Black Sabbath and Judas Priest. You can enjoy a very realistic sound image as Richie develops a destructive show in a crowded place. Anyway, Richie’s guitar is recorded extremely loud, and it’s so loud that it seems like it’s eating up other instruments and vocals, but the sound on this disc, recorded in master quality, is very vivid and clear. It’s definitely a must-listen for fans. The balance was such that it was safe to say that it was almost a “Ritchie mix,” and of course Demon King Richie performed a series of amazing plays in front of his enthusiastic fans on that day, making people wonder, “Is this the best performance of the UK tour?” They will perform with plenty of splendid performances with a sustained sense of tension and demonic energy. Fans will be impressed by the overwhelming performance of Kill The King and Mistreated at the beginning. The excitement of the Birmingham audience around the recorder was amazing, and the enthusiastic reaction that made it seem as though they were listening to Richie’s every note in ecstasy was another highlight to listen to. . You can enjoy the performance of the steel-like heavy Sixteenth Century Greensleeves, and Richie’s solo performance of Catch The Rainbow, which is nearly 15 minutes long. Richie, Richie Anyway, fans can be fully satisfied with Richie’s sound image with just Disc 1. Disc 2 is a guitar solo including the familiar MOTSM intro Lazy, and here too the audience goes wild, shouting “Richie, Richie”. In MOTSM, an abnormal situation occurs in the sound, where only Richie’s sound can be heard, and the vocals can hardly be heard. However, the sound of the guitar reverberating so directly will be irresistible to fans! Following Blues, which was recorded with an ultra-clear sound like a line recording, the reaction of the audience when Richie played a glimpse of the riff of Smoke On The Water is a must-listen. The keyboard intro of Stargazer has not been recorded, but it has been recorded from just before the whole song starts. Still I’m Sad, which explodes with sharp riffs, is truly powerful and the solo part is a must-listen. Also, the reaction from the fans was amazing, and the second break of Still I’m Sad at 2:10 with “Oh God!! Yeah!!” was the best. Cozy’s drums, which had been recorded on a slightly smaller scale up until then, were clearly recorded during his solo time, making them impressive. Immediately after the end of Still I’m Sad (Reprise), the screams of “Ritchie Blackmore! Wow!”, the Blackmore call that filled the venue, and the second half of Do You Close Your Eyes, followed by Richie’s frantic solo, exploded with guitar crashes. . For Rainbow and Richie fans, this is a new masterpiece that is sure to become a standard in the future. An overwhelming high-quality live document of the legendary 1976 Birmingham performance! !
