Description
“DEFINITIVE BUDOKAN 1980” caused a sensation when it was reprinted from Kinney’s original cassette the other day. This time, the second part of the series will appear on the second day at Budokan! Once again, we have obtained the original cassettes of recordings that have produced many masterpiece titles and handed down great performances, and have digitized them using the latest and meticulous technology. In addition to the superb natural sound unique to the original cassette, this is the birth of a “lifetime definitive edition” that unravels the mysteries hidden in the previous releases! First, let’s start by confirming the usual schedule… May 8th: Nippon Budokan May 9th: Nippon Budokan [This work]《2 days off》May 12th: Nippon Budokan “DEFINITIVE BUDOKAN 1980” May 13th: Osaka Festival Hall May 14th: Osaka Festival Hall May 15th: Osaka Festival Hall…In this way, this work was recorded on the second day of Budokan. Ultra-high sound quality discs such as “ON TOUR 1980 ?SINCE YOU BEEN GONE-“, “GONE WILD”, and “DEFINITIVE GONE WILD” have been known for some time, but in fact, if you trace the origin, they all have the same origin, Kinney’s analog disc “BLACKMORE” This is a recording originating from “IN NEW BLACK STOCKINGS SEXISM OUTRAGE”. This work is a CD version using the recording cassette itself. The sound is extremely high-quality, on par with “DEFINITIVE BUDOKAN 1980” on the final day of Budokan. The already-released evangelists of great performances have also made a name for themselves as “super audiences,” but as expected, this is an original cassette. The freshness of one or two albums is excellent, and all the musical sounds are beautiful and fresh, as if they were recorded yesterday. Speaking of the vividness of the cymbal sound… Furthermore, there are some surprising discoveries that can only be made with the original cassette. It turned out that previously released albums that had been given the honor of being great names had actually been edited. Many people probably didn’t notice because it was a natural finish, but the MC with place names such as “Hello, Tokyo!!” was cut out, and another cheer was added after “Catch The Rainbow” ended. The biggest one is the last part of “All Night Long.” In the previous release, a strange cut-and-paste warp is overdubbed with cheers, and the next song “Long Live Rock ‘n’ Roll” comes in as a fade-in. This part was not included in the original cassette and was edited to disguise the cut. The point that I thought was “kind of strange” until now was that there was a trick like this… Of course, there was a momentary omission of the MC and intro “The Land Of Hope And Glory” and “Keyboard Intro.”, which had been cut, and even the closing announcement: “Thank you very much for coming to the RAINBOW performance today. Once again…” We have reprinted all the audio recorded on the original cassette. Furthermore, the missing parts from the last 7 seconds of “All Night Long” to the first 25 seconds of “Long Live Rock ‘n’ Roll” are from another master treasured by enthusiasts (this is also super high sound quality! A complete version of this exists) If you give me…), I will make up for it. We have realized a complete recording of the show. This time, the flow of “All Night Long” → “Long Live Rock ‘n’ Roll” naturally connects. Although it’s only 32 seconds long, you can finally hear RAINBOW’s most famous performance in its original form… Yes, the greatest value of this work is not the detailed sound source history or editing crap. “A live album where you can listen to famous performances with the best sound ever”, this is it! In fact, the “May 9th” show, where this work breathed in the atmosphere, was outrageously wonderful. In fact, the most popular song is “May 12th”, the last day of Budokan, but the reason for this popularity is that it also includes “Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow”, which was not performed on the first or second day. However, it is large. It’s true that “having a large number of songs” is a big attraction, but that’s just a spec-based value. As a single live performance, this work is also a great performance that is not inferior at all to the final day of Budokan. In fact, when “DEFINITIVE BUDOKAN 1980” was released the other day, there were (more than a few) customers who said, “The last day is full of everything without any flaws, but my favorite is the 9th…” I did. There were people who said “The 9th was the best” for various reasons, such as Ritchie Blackmore and Don Airey’s play, but the most popular one was Graham Bonnet. When Graham landed in the Far East for the first time, he was greeted with great enthusiasm (according to Don, “It was like being a Beatle”), and his enthusiasm far exceeded that of performances in other countries. The high tension can be felt throughout all performances in Japan, but it is especially amazing on the first and second days. The amazing thing about “All Night Long” is that they interact with the audience endlessly with their fierce voice volume and lung capacity. On the first day, there was an equipment problem that affected Don, so it can’t be helped that it was said to be a downgrade, but on the second day there was no such drawback. Even though there are no bonus songs, it is a perfect stage with no shortage of songs. In other words, the reason why I thought about adding “Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow” after this would be because of the great performance of this work. Certainly, there will be no “Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow” on this second day. Therefore, when it comes to “this is the one to start with!”, I have no choice but to recommend “DEFINITIVE BUDOKAN 1980” and Osaka’s “THE HIDDEN FORTRESS” series. However, it is this second day “May 9th” that the maniacs who have become commonplace with “Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow” reach for. This is a reprint of the original cassette that was used at the live concert without missing a single note. A live album has finally been created where you can listen to the best performances and traditional recordings loved by enthusiasts in their complete form.
