Description
A live album that is a direct reproduction of the legendary analog masterpiece “LIVE AT BUDO KAN (Discry 98 BF)” will be released. This work was recorded as part of the “STRAIGHT BETWEEN THE EYES JAPAN TOUR” performance at “October 21, 1982: Nippon Budokan”. As an example, let’s check the schedule. ・October 12 + 13 + 14, 1982: Osaka Festival Hall ・October 16, 1982: Kyoto Kaikan ・October 17, 1982: Fukuoka Sun Palace ・October 19, 1982: Nagoya City Public Hall ・October 1982 October 21st: Nippon Budokan [This work] October 22nd, 1982: Nippon Budokan In this way, there were a total of 8 performances in Japan in 1982. What is included in this work is the second to last Nippon Budokan. There is also a masterpiece “RIPPED APART” on this day, but this work was woken up from the traditional LP. The sound is a wonderful audience sound that evokes a sense of nostalgia. Of course, even though it is originally an LP, it has been digitized using the latest technology in 2016, and the neat and delicate sound is extremely beautiful. I don’t know the condition of the original analog disc, but it’s probably in pretty good condition. The freshness of vinyl, which does not deteriorate over time, shines through. Even the loud cheers that swell furiously are as detailed as ripples. The first day of Budokan depicted with that sound is also wonderful. The 1982 Japan tour had many live performances that could not be called great performances, but the band’s enthusiasm was considerable as the highlight was Nippon Budokan. Ritchie Blackmore, who had to cut short the last performance in Nagoya, was furious, perhaps because he had one day off during school. To be honest, there are some mistakes in the solo of “Spotlight Kid” and some scenes where “Miss Mistreated” gets rough, but there is so much momentum that you can clearly see that it is a waste of enthusiasm. It’s such a passionate performance that you can almost see them pulling off flashy actions (although on the final day the next day, the excitement and the performance go hand in hand…). Of course, when Richie gets hot, the band gets fired up, and the audience gets fired up. The tempo of the performance was unusually high, and the performance was very passionate, and the roaring chorus had a three-dimensional effect that seemed to depict an octagonal space. Although it is a close-up musical sound, there is no reverberation, just a clear chorus that depicts the space. It is a wonderful example of audience recording. An analog bootleg masterpiece that has long conveyed the truth about RAINBOW. This is a masterpiece live album that revives that exquisite sound with the latest technology. “STRAIGHT BETWEEN THE EYES JAPAN TOUR” is a little less attention-grabbing than 1981, when Joe Lynn Turner showed off his singing voice, and 1984, when RAINBOW was on the verge of collapse, but RAINBOW was still amazing there. “BUDO KAN” was special. This is a book that makes you realize that truth only now. Live at Budokan, Tokyo, Japan 21st October 1982 Disc 1(43:38) 1. Land Of Hope And Glory 2. Over The Rainbow 3. Spotlight Kid 4.
