Description
“21st Century RAINBOW” has restarted! The video title that reports on the first night of “Ritchie the Rock” who took the stage again as promised has been decided! It’s been a year since that shocking revival. In 2017, Richie came back to play rock. This work contains the first day, “June 17, 2017: London performance”. It is an audience shot when he appeared as the headliner of the British rock festival “STONE FREE FESTIVAL”. First, let’s check the current live schedule. “RITCHIE BLACKMORE’S RAINBOW” June 17: London performance [This work] June 22: Manchester performance (cancelled) June 25: Glasgow performance June 28: Birmingham performance “BLACKMORE’S NIGHT” July 30-August 19: Europe (9 performances) These are the currently announced schedules. Initially, RAINBOW was scheduled to perform four shows, but a terrorist bombing occurred at the Manchester Arena, the venue for the Manchester performance. The venue was unavailable and the performance was canceled. The London performance of this work is the very first day. Before this, Richie stood on stage for the last time at BLACKMORE’S NIGHT on October 29th last year (you can enjoy the pattern on the live album “HARRISBURG 2016”). It was not only RAINBOW, but also Richie’s first stage of 2017. This work, which reports on such a show as quickly as possible, is a collection of videos spelled out with numerous audience shots. The footage began to overflow immediately after the show, but there is still no shot of the entire show. At this point in time, it is a collection of the best shots of each song and a reproduction of almost the entire show (unfortunately, “Difficult to Cure” and the drum solo are not included). Therefore, it is not possible to say “the angle is 笳銀雷” or “the image quality is 笆ウ笆ウ”, but this is a carefully selected one. All of the images are of the finest quality and sound, made possible by modern digital equipment, and Richie’s facial expressions and gestures are vivid and perfect. And the show of “RAINBOW 2017” depicted by that sound is what is attracting attention. The set itself is based on the best Birmingham performance last year, but has been slightly changed. Instead of the purple songs “Highway Star” and “Perfect Strangers”, “I Surrender”, “All Night Long” and “Still I’m Sad” have been added. Although “Woman From Tokyo” is slightly sandwiched in “Man on the Silver Mountain”, the show is more intense and rainbow-colored overall. The opening scene also strongly appeals to the “rainbow”. The newly recorded version of “Land of Hope and Glory”, which was recently released, is also new, but the pole position that leads to “Over the Rainbow” is “Spotlight Kid”! Last year they played “Highway Star,” but this song really makes me feel like it’s “RAINBOW!”. There were many other things different from last year. First of all, the stage set has changed. The mechanical rainbow arch from last year is gone, and a giant monitor is in charge of the production. The images projected on it are excellent. In “Still I’m Sad,” nostalgic flyers and jackets appear one after another (Japanese company names in katakana…), in “Burn,” a huge flame burns, and in “Child in Time,” a huge eyeball glares at the audience. And at the end of the song, there is even a “punchline” where you can see that the eye is from the jacket of “STRAIGHT BETWEEN THE EYES” (but why this song?). Even more touching than that are “Man on the Silver Mountain” and “Long Live Rock ‘n’ Roll.” A young Ronnie James Dio is projected, standing next to Richie and singing passionately. Last year’s rainbow arch was amazing, so it’s surprising (or rather, disappointing) that it will be over after only three performances, but it’s a production that only happens in 2017, when giant monitors are all the rage. In addition, a surprise guest also appeared on this day. In “Since You Been Gone,” the original author Russ Ballard will also participate in the performance on guitar! The audience at the venue was in a “Who is this guy?” state, but this is amazing. I think many people will be seeing “Russ Ballard in motion” for the first time. Anyway, RAINBOW has started moving again. The “rainbow dream” that was hotly aroused a year ago. You can enjoy “that continuation” over the next two weeks. This work is the first to announce the beginning. A real-time experience that can be enjoyed again in the 21st century. Live at the O2 Arena, London, UK 17th June 2017 (93:16) 1.
