Description

On the last day of the 1997 US tour, March 19th, a live performance held at a club called Edge in Palo Alto, California was recorded completely with an ultra-high quality audience recording. John Miceli, who has toured with Meat Loaf and Blue Oyster Cult, has a very clear and powerful drumming presence. In addition, all the musical notes, including Richie’s happy solo play and Dougie’s vocals, are beautifully recorded, and the sound is amazing. Everything is great from the opening Spotlight Kid, and Richie is playing in a good mood, and although there are many places where he misses the notes, that unique tone is solid. Also, Greg Smith’s technical bass solo and John’s powerful drum solo are good in Still I’m Sad. In addition, on this day, a passage of Gates Of Babylon was performed as a prelude to Temple Of The King, although it was only vocals, and the performance was full of lively and wild charm that was different from the sense of consistency and stylized beauty, and it was refreshing. Of course, this is the highest quality of the 1997 tour, but also of the reunited Rainbow sound sources. Disc 1/1. Over The Rainbow 2. Spotlight Kid 3. Long Live Rock ‘N’ Roll 4. Mistreated 5.
