Description
QUEEN + Adam Lampert’s “THE RHAPSODY TOUR” performance in Japan set the warm winter archipelago ablaze with enthusiasm. A masterpiece original recording that allows you to fully experience that last night is now available. This work includes the “January 30, 2020: Nagoya Dome” performance. This is a beautiful audience recording. In addition to the Kanto performances of “SAITAMA SUPER ARENA 2020 1ST NIGHT” and “SAITAMA SUPER ARENA 2020 2ND NIGHT,” the two performances of West Japan will also appear at once. A live album of all performances is now available. The release rush is in full swing, so let’s organize the dates here to avoid any mistakes.・January 25th “SAITAMA SUPER ARENA 2020 1ST NIGHT” ・January 26th “SAITAMA SUPER ARENA 2020 2ND NIGHT” ・January 28th “OSAKA DOME 2020” ・January 30th: Nagoya Dome ←★This work★ *Note :Only the representative live album each day. That’s all 4 performances. All of the successful shows, which are said to be the return of their heyday, have been made into live albums. Under such circumstances, the Nagoya performance of this work was the last night. This is the latest recording, less than a week has passed since the actual performance. The quality of this work is also excellent. This is the original master of this work that was handed down directly from the recording artist himself, but this person is not an ordinary person. He has worked on numerous masterpieces, and has recently become well-known for his latest recordings by Huey Lewis, Mariah Carey, Janet Jackson, and more. In particular, Celine Dion and Taylor Swift/Charli XCX were captured with great sound despite being in the Tokyo Dome, and received great acclaim, with people saying, “Is it really a dome?” This work is also the latest work by such a master. For that reason, the sound of this work is also far away from Dome. The best thing about it is its clear clarity and powerful core with a direct feel. Because it was recorded from the stands in the middle of the track, the snare tone has a customer-like quality to it, but it’s amazing because it doesn’t sound too far away. You can clearly see that there is nothing blocking the stage and the microphone, and the sound from the PA reaches you straight like a laser beam. The sound that rises from the core is exquisite, and while the core is richly colored, it does not hide any of the fine details. Particularly overwhelming is the extension of the treble. Adam’s high notes stretch out comfortably, and the width and fluctuation of his fine vibrato are clear. On top of that, a resounding spectacle is added, making it even majestic. Of course she sings well, but what’s even more amazing is her soft singing like in the first half of “Killer Queen.” You can clearly see not only the richness of his voice and the subtleties of his voice, which can change like an actor’s, but also the way he dominates the venue. This beauty is something you can never experience on a soundboard or official work. It is a world of beauty because it is an exquisite audience recording. Such a sound is depicted as QUEEN + Adam’s first full show in Nagoya. As a matter of fact, on this visit to Japan, the position of “I Was Born To Love You” was different on the first day of Saitama, but the songs played were all the same. Here, let’s change things up a bit and organize the set based on past performances in Nagoya. Songs we played last time in Nagoya (QUEEN + Paul in 2005) Hammer to Fall / I’m in Love With My Car / I Want It All / Love of My Life / ’39 / Crazy Little Thing Called Love / I Want to Break Free/Tie Your Mother Down/The Show Must Go On/Radio Ga Ga/Bohemian Rhapsody/ We Will Rock You/We Are the Champions・Japan limited song: Teo Torriatte (Let Us Cling Together)/I Was Born to Love You First song in Nagoya since QUEEN・Since 1985: Now I’m Here/Seven Seas of Rhye/Keep Yourself Alive/Killer Queen/Somebody to Love/Another One Bites the Dust/Under Pressure/Dragon Attack・Since 1979: Don’t Stop Me Now/Bicycle Race・Since 1976: In the Lap of the Gods… Revisited/Doing All Right First performed in Nagoya・Who Wants to Live Forever…and so on. The last Nagoya lecture was QUEEN + Paul Rogers in 2005. Before that, it was the last “THE WORKS TOUR” during Freddie’s lifetime. Most of it was played when QUEEN + Paul, but this time there were no member solos. It is filled with QUEEN’s famous songs, and there are plenty of famous songs since the 70’s/80’s. “Who Wants to Live Forever” from “A KIND OF MAGIC” was not played even during Paul’s era, so this was the first performance in Nagoya. The sense of realism that allows you to empathize with such joy in real life is wonderful. This work is recorded only from the stands, so you can clearly see the ripples of enthusiasm in the arena, scorching the performance from below and heating it up. Every time Adam struts around the stage, ripples travel to the right and left, and when he steps out onto the flower path, the waves come and go. The excitement also spread to the stands, with big applause up close and small applause far away, giving you a three-dimensional feel of the Nagoya Dome space. Thanks in part to the success of the movie “Bohemian Rhapsody,” QUEEN+Adam’s performance in Japan was held for the third time and even held at stadiums in Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka. This is a live album where you can fully experience the full show with beautiful sound that concludes the Japan tour, which has once again reached its peak. Not only is it essential to completing a memorable tour, but this work itself is a beautiful and glorious piece of music.
