Description
“CRAZY TOUR” is a miraculous tour with “only great performances” that only QUEEN collectors know about. Introducing the “last piece” that completes the collection. What is recorded in this work is “December 6, 1979 Liverpool performance”. This is the audience recording. Our store has archived miraculous scenes with many masterpieces, but this work is the final one. The masterpieces “HAMMERSMITH ODEON 1979 LEGENDARY MASTER TAPES” and “NEWCASTLE 1979 1ST NIGHT” will also be released at the same time, so be sure to organize your collection by date.・November 22nd-30th: 6 performances (no recording) ・December 1st “GLASGOW 1979 2ND NIGHT” ・December 3rd “NEWCASTLE 1979 1ST NIGHT” ・December 4th “NEWCASTLE 1979 2ND NIGHT”・12 December 6th: Liverpool performance ←★This work★ December 7th-22nd: 10 performances (no recording) December 26th “HAMMERSMITH ODEON 1979 LEGENDARY MASTER TAPES” Total of 21 performances. The previous “JAZZ TOUR 1978-1979” did not have any UK performances, so the tour focused on the release of the single “Crazy Little Thing Called Love”. That is “Crazy Tour”. Although the final day’s pro shot is famous, there are audience recordings of the other four performances, and all are in excellent condition. Despite QUEEN, which usually has big waves every day, it has a “100% performance rate”, and moreover, it is a show that is more than just a peak performance… This is what makes the “CRAZY TOUR” a miracle. And, this work is the final installment of the 4 consecutive live albums left in the middle of the tour. This work, which records such a show, is one of the most valuable in “CRAZY TOUR”. Of course, it has been loved by core collectors who aim to complete it, but it is a recording that has not generally been distributed. The reason is quality. As a matter of fact, all of these four days require some degree of audience familiarization, but among them, the evaluation of the Liverpool performance was the least favorable. For that reason, I have been content with making “maniacal records.” However, that is just a conventional story. This work uses the best master for such a valuable record, and has been further refined with meticulous mastering. It is the highest peak board that is much easier to listen to than before. Of course, when introducing them at our store, we treat each one as much as possible, but the extent of improvement depends on the individuality of the original sound. Even if the level is the same at first listen, there are some types of sounds that cannot be changed no matter how hard you try, and some that can be reborn as something different. And this work was the latter. The core that penetrates the atmosphere became much stronger, and it was the type that could bring out even the smallest details. Although it is not to the extent that it is touted as “just like a sound board!”, it has been raised to the same level as the works of “CRAZY TOUR”, and it has become a live album where you can enjoy the best performance more than enough. That sound depicts a famous performance in which Freddie’s throat is clear and in great condition. Well, there really isn’t anything wrong with “CRAZY TOUR”… Another feature of “CRAZY TOUR” is the daily set list. Since the sound records are from only 5 performances, it is difficult to say whether they are all performances or not, but all 5 performances are different. Those who pick up this work will probably have experienced some of the other works, so let’s organize the set by focusing on the differences. Fixed set (18 songs)・SHEER HEART ATTACK: Killer Queen/Now I’m Here・A NIGHT AT THE OPERA: Death On Two Legs/I’m In Love With My Car/You’re My Best Friend/Bohemian Rhapsody・A DAY AT THE RACES: Somebody To Love/Tie Your Mother Down ・NEWS OF THE WORLD: Get Down Make Love/Spread Your Wings/Sheer Heart Attack/We Will Rock You/We Are The Champions・JAZZ: Let Me Entertain You/ Mustapha/Don’t Stop Me Now・THE GAME: Save Me/Crazy Little Thing Called Love Daily songs (5 songs)・QUEEN: Keep Yourself Alive・A NIGHT AT THE OPERA: Love Of My Life/’39・NEWS OF THE WORLD: We Will Rock You (fast)・JAZZ: Fat Bottomed Girls…and so on. In addition to the new songs “Save Me” and “Crazy Little Thing Called Love,” which were performed for the first time on this tour, they performed all the songs that were heard on “GLASGOW 1979 2ND NIGHT,” which was introduced the other day. On top of that, we have added four more songs. In the simultaneously released “NEWCASTLE 1979 1ST NIGHT”, the pole position was “Let Me Entertain You”, but in this work, “We Will Rock You (fast)” is also played, and “Mustapha” is also long. The piano solo that connects “Mustapha” and “Death On Two Legs” shows an arrangement that also incorporates “The Millionaire Waltz”. A miraculous “CRAZY TOUR” that is unparalleled in the entire history of QUEEN. A rare genius vocalist: Freddie Mercury was at his peak.
