Description

The miraculous tour “CRAZY TOUR” where Freddie was at his best in the entire history of QUEEN. This valuable live album is now available. What is recorded in this work is “Newcastle performance on December 3, 1979”. This is the audience recording. As I reported in “GLASGOW 1979 2ND NIGHT”, there is no tour that deserves to be called a “miracle” like “CRAZY TOUR”. Freddie was a person who had a wide range of ups and downs depending on the day, but “CRAZY TOUR” was a complete exception. Everything is going great day and night. It’s not just that the throat is in good condition, but it’s a burst of tension that is typical of “LIVE AID”. “LIVE AID” was able to keep the tension and excitement because it was about 25 minutes long, but it ran through a full show of over 100 minutes. In fact, even on other tours, there are “LIVE AID-like full shows” here and there, but on “CRAZY TOUR” it is every day and night. Since the records left are only for 5 performances, it is impossible to say whether they are really all performances or not, but at least all 5 performances are outstanding and have a 100% performance rate. This work is a masterpiece live album that tells the story of such a “CRAZY TOUR”. At our store, the masterpiece “NEWCASTLE 1979 2ND NIGHT” from the same venue is also a standard, but this work is a separate performance. Furthermore, the masterpieces “HAMMERSMITH ODEON 1979 LEGENDARY MASTER TAPES” and “LIVERPOOL 1979 1ST NIGHT” will also be released at the same time, so be sure to organize your Miracle Tour collection by schedule.・November 22nd-30th: 6 performances (no recording) ・December 1st: “GLASGOW 1979 2ND NIGHT” ・December 3rd: Newcastle performance ←★This work★ ・December 4th: “NEWCASTLE 1979 2ND NIGHT”・December 6th “LIVERPOOL 1979 1ST NIGHT” ・December 7th-22nd: 10 performances (no recording) ・December 26th “HAMMERSMITH ODEON 1979 LEGENDARY MASTER TAPES”, 21 performances in total. The symbol of this tour is the last day’s professional shot “HAMMERSMITH ODEON 1979 (there is also a full audience recording of the same title)”, but other than that, there are recordings left from four consecutive performances. This is the second Newcastle performance of this work. It was a stage between “GLASGOW 1979 2ND NIGHT” and “NEWCASTLE 1979 2ND NIGHT”. This work, which records such a show, is between the quality of “GLASGOW 1979 2ND NIGHT” and “NEWCASTLE 1979 2ND NIGHT”. At the beginning, like “GLASGOW 1979 2ND NIGHT”, it seems that the audience needs to get used to it a little, but from the middle of the second song “Tie Your Mother Down”, the cloudy weather quickly clears and it becomes easier to listen to at once. Above all, it is closer than “GLASGOW 1979 2ND NIGHT”, and its powerful core arrives at your fingertips with vivid details. Of course, it has been carefully mastered and adjusted independently, and you can clearly see Freddie’s best performance. It is even more surprising that it is depicted with a sound that exceeds “GLASGOW 1979 2ND NIGHT”. It’s an amazing performance that could overshadow even that famous album! Those who experienced “GLASGOW 1979 2ND NIGHT” were probably surprised by Freddy’s excellent performance, but this work goes even further. Not only is it the same as the studio recording, but the voice is even more pronounced, and you can freely play around with even slightly seasoned phrases. In “’39”, he sings a higher line than the original. This tremendous throat and tension surpassed even “HAMMERSMITH ODEON 1979” and was on par with “NEWCASTLE 1979 2ND NIGHT” at the same venue. “The miracle of miracles” is the culmination of the miracle tour. “LIVE AID” is a symbol of the spectacle of a huge venue and the drama of a comeback play, but in terms of just the great performance, this work far exceeds it. “CRAZY TOUR” is also known for having a different set every night. All records are available in this week’s two titles, so let’s focus on the differences from other performances and organize them. Fixed set (18 songs)・SHEER HEART ATTACK: Killer Queen/Now I’m Here・A NIGHT AT THE OPERA: Death On Two Legs/I’m In Love With My Car/You’re My Best Friend/Bohemian Rhapsody・A DAY AT THE RACES: Somebody To Love/Tie Your Mother Down・NEWS OF THE WORLD: Get Down Make Love/Spread Your Wings/Sheer Heart Attack/We Will Rock You/We Are The Champions・JAZZ: Let Me Entertain You/ Mustapha/Don’t Stop Me Now ・THE GAME: Save Me/Crazy Little Thing Called Love Daily songs (5 songs) ・QUEEN: Keep Yourself Alive ・A NIGHT AT THE OPERA: Love Of My Life/’39 ・JAZZ: If You Can’t Beat Them/Fat Bottomed Girls…and it goes like this. “GLASGOW 1979 2ND NIGHT” was almost only a basic set, but the number has been increased since then. Five new songs will be performed, and you can also enjoy “If You Can’t Beat Them” and “Fat Bottomed Girls,” which can’t be heard on “NEWCASTLE 1979 2ND NIGHT” the next day. To be more specific, the biggest feature of this day was the songs that were not played. In the other four performances, “We Will Rock You (fast)” and “Jailhouse Rock” serve as the pole position, but this day suddenly starts with “Let Me Entertain You”. Even among the miracle tours, there is a unique mood unique to this work. A series of miraculous performances… or rather, a “CRAZY TOUR” with nothing but great performances. Amidst all this, a “miracle of miracles” took place over two days in Newcastle. Until now, there was only one movie, “NEWCASTLE 1979 2ND NIGHT,” but with this work, you can even experience the scene of the first day. “QUEEN fans around the world should remember ‘Newcastle in 1979’ forever” and “December 3rd and 4th should be celebrated as anniversaries”…this is a great performance that will have you running through your head with such nonsense.
