Description

QUEEN from the “THE GAME” era, where both albums and singles reached No. 1 in the US, and “GREATEST HITS” also became a historic hit. Two new vacuum-packed unreleased masters of the Japan performance released for the first time in the world are discovered at the same time! It is a miraculous simultaneous release decision. Even though these two masters were discovered from routes that have no relation to each other, they were recorded on the same day. It is a shocking audience recording of the “February 18, 1981: Nippon Budokan” performance. [Super high-quality sound from the popular Master Collection] Up to now, four types of recordings have been known for this show, but both of these two have been released for the first time and are the ultimate shocking masters. While the simultaneously released “BUDOKAN 1981 FINAL NIGHT: COMPLETE MASTER” is a complete version of the show as its name suggests, this work is a live album that is incomplete but overwhelmingly overwhelming with its top-notch sound. You may be wondering, “Why is it incomplete?”, but in reality, this “imperfection” also has a reason, and the reason is not a recording error but an incident that occurred at the scene. Even up to that point, it’s worth listening to. Before we get into the details, let’s talk about the show’s position. At our store, we have archived many masterpieces from the Japan tour at its peak, but the 1981 visit to Japan is all Nippon Budokan, so it tends to be a little confusing. Let’s look back at the schedule at that time and organize the collection.・February 12th “BATTLE THEME (Nippon Budokan)” ・February 13th “DEFINITIVE BUDOKAN 1981 2ND NIGHT” – 2 days off – February 16th “BUDOKAN 1981 3RD NIGHT” ・February 17th “DEFINITIVE BUDOKAN 1981 4TH” NIGHT” February 18th: Nippon Budokan ←★This work★ *Note: Only representative works will be shown on each day. That’s all 5 performances. Until now, we have introduced live albums from the first day to the fourth day, but this work is the only remaining last day. It is its first appearance recording. Moreover, what is surprising is that this work has updated the highest and highest peak ever. On this final day, four types of recordings were known, including recordings that are not handled at our store, but this work has a better sound than any of them. In fact, the sound is shocking. The methodical clapping is definitely a vivid audience recording, but the important performance sound / singing voice is completely outside the common sense of guest records. A powerful and active core is thrust in front of you, and the details that accompany it are also extremely detailed. Even the difficult-to-record bass sounds, the harsh attack sounds, and the grooves that are created by these sounds have a glossy black glow. It is definitely Nippon Budokan only in 1981, but in terms of sound there is no echo component as if it were outdoors. Although there is evidence of audience recording in the sound of the snare, it is almost a sound board…it is also the best sound at the level of an official work. There is a reason why it has such a superb sound. In addition to the good position of “Arena E row”, what is even more important is the recording artist’s own technique. Some of you may have already noticed, but the person who worked on this work is a person who has been making waves with the super famous recordings of WHITESNAKE, Jeff Beck, THE POLICE, AC/DC, etc. Its quality has been praised as “official work level” and “Japan’s Mike Millard”, and this work is also a collection of such masters. [A vivid crime scene where a battle suddenly occurred] It is a strangely super high quality sound that was completely shelved, but I can understand that it was shelved in terms of content. As I mentioned at the beginning, it is an incomplete recording. So why did such an experienced recording expert stop midway through? That’s because there was chaos on the scene. The recording continued without incident for about an hour after the performance began, but the incident occurred during “Keep Yourself Alive.” Freddie threw the tambourine he was playing right into the taper. Of course, the surrounding areas were all at once competitive. The screams of the women erupt, and the sound shakes violently along with the rattling noise. Their screams didn’t last long, and the desperate expressions on their faces were clearly visible as they were swallowed up in a single, “hi!” sound. And then there was the sound of tambourines competing for each other…this was close to ferocious. I don’t know if Taper himself won, but it’s still not surprising. After that, recording resumes after a pause, but recording ends immediately. The historic super-famous recording became an unfinished masterpiece and remained dormant for 40 years without reaching anyone’s ears… Anyway, super high quality. This is a live album with ultra-high sound quality that (easily) surpasses all conventional recordings. You can witness QUEEN in its prime with such a miraculous sound, and witness the vivid troubles. Although it is not possible to enjoy the complete form of the show, this is a piece whose ultra-realistic experience is so delicious that that is out of the question. Superb audience recording of the “February 18, 1981: Nippon Budokan” performance. Although the recording was incomplete up to the middle of the show, the quality was extremely high, the strongly on core was thrust right in front of me, and the accompanying details were also extremely detailed. There is no echo component as if it were outdoors, almost like a sound board…it’s also the best sound at the level of an official work. The scene where the recording is interrupted is also worth listening to. During “Keep Yourself Alive,” Freddie threw a tambourine into the audience, and a fight broke out right next to the taper. There were also screams. You can also experience the ultimate experience of a noisy scene where recording is no longer possible. Complete first appearance sound source. Super high quality sound.
