A brush-up of the extremely rare and special live album. [Scene of a very special clip shooting] The special live was held on “October 6, 1977 in London”. This day was neither a so-called world tour nor a normal concert. A filming session for the video clip for the single “We Are the Champions”. The clip featured a passionate performance on stage, but it is exactly the audience recording recorded at that scene. First, let’s check the show’s position from the schedule at that time. ・June 7: A DAY AT THE RACES TOUR ends [July-September “NEWS OF THE WORLD” production] ・October 6: London ←★Here★《”We Are the Champions” released on October 7 》《“NEWS OF THE WORLD” released on October 28th》・November 22nd: NEWS OF THE WORLD TOUR begins This is an overview of 1977. QUEEN, who completed “NEWS OF THE WORLD” in September, will release a single and album in October the following year, but this photo session was just before that. It was held the day before the release of the single “We Are the Champions”. Moreover, this session was not just a clip shooting session. The audience numbering in the hundreds were members of the fan club, and after the filming, a mini live performance with a special set was held as a thank you for their cooperation. It is also an extremely unique live album that vacuum-packs the whole picture with the best sound. When you play this work, famous BBC presenter Bob Harris appears. We will explain the purpose of the day, including that the band will perform mimes along with the music and that there will be a special live performance afterwards. From here, the special mood is full. Although the members of QUEEN have not yet appeared, enthusiastic club members are gathered at the venue. Just participating in a special occasion is a great way to have fun. Then, the members finally appeared, the studio take of “We Are The Champions” was played, and filming began. Of course, it’s a new song that hasn’t even been released as a single yet, but the song suddenly erupts into thunderous applause, cheers, and whistles. Indeed, the “other side” of that clip will be documented with 100% original sound. [Excellent sound that updates the highest peak] I’m sorry to say this, but the quality of this work that conveys such a scene is the best. This is a master that was discovered more than 10 years ago, and was once very popular as a press CD “CHAMPIONS SHOOT”. This is also incredibly clear and neat. As you can see in the clip, the stage was closer than a normal concert, and the clear outline of the performance and singing voice jumped right into your hands. Moreover, the freshness is outstanding. The performance sound and singing voice are fresh, and there is almost no dubbing deterioration or aging. Despite the tremendous excitement at the scene, a sense of stability persists, and on the other side of “We Are The Champions”, which is supposed to be a mime, Freddie’s off-mic singing voice can also be heard (albeit faintly). He is such an exquisite master. Moreover, this work has refined the “CHAMPIONS SHOOT” master with the latest and meticulous remaster. Of course, we do not do anything to destroy the subtlety of the sound pressure. The purpose of mastering is to create clarity that makes clear recordings stand out. Rather than raising the strong notes even further (doing so would crush the peaks), each range is carefully organized, and the contours and gaps of each note are vividly adjusted. We also adjusted the sound pressure and stereo feel, which had been changing randomly from scene to scene, to achieve a crystal clear sound that still retains its natural resonance. [Super rare & super hot special live] It’s only after the super rare mini live begins that you realize the true nature of the reborn sound. The cool thing about “Tie Your Mother Down” which starts right after Mime’s “We Are The Champions”! After that, a set like a compact summary of “A DAY AT THE RACES TOUR” continues, but the performance is quite unique. “White Man” and “The Prophet’s Song” were experimental, and Brian also used EBow for the first time. This is a version reminiscent of the middle part of the later “Get Down Make Love.” Even more fresh are “Bohemian Rhapsody” and “Now I’m Here.” The intro is the same as usual, but from here the opera part… suddenly changes to “Now I’m Here”. This arrangement is exquisite and really cool. The set is refreshing, but the mood surrounding it is also wonderful. Everyone in the audience is a core fan. There was no one waiting to see what was going on, and they could do whatever they wanted, clapping their hands or singing in chorus. Moreover, since everyone is concentrating on the QUEEN in front of them, it doesn’t seem like a nuisance. The clapping was integrated with the rhythm section, and the chorus was in perfect harmony with the chorus. The great excitement is directly connected to the expansion of equal performance. The highlight of this special space is the large lath. After the intense “Jailhouse Rock” ended, there was an uproar that could only be described as a “riot of joy,” and the chorus of “We Want Queen!” exploded! The hot call that goes on and on without a single thread being disturbed is so amazing that you can even feel the pressure of the wind. Then, it turns into a “We Are The Champions!” call, and finally drags out the members of QUEEN. This scene is the most interesting part of this work, but the members who came out played “See What A Fool I’ve Been”! A rare number of “QUEEN II” that has hardly been recorded since Nippon Budokan in 1976. Of course, this would be unthinkable under normal circumstances, but the scene was full of real fans. It is played as if to say, “You guys understand, right?” and responds with great joy… The ideal space between the fans and the band is depicted with the best sound. Truly special. Unlike any other title, it’s hotter than any live show. This is a unique and special live album where you can experience this extremely rare show with the best sound. It’s a quality that even non-maniacs can enjoy, and it’s a record that will get you excited even if you’re a maniac. ★A very rare short set live of about 50 minutes that was held in a hurry as a special service for fans during the promo shooting for “Legendary Champion”. The sound quality is also good. Live at New London Theatre, London, UK 6th October 1977 TRULY AMAZING/PERFECT SOUND(UPGRADE) (65:46) 1. Bob Harris’ Speech #1 2. Bob Harris’ Speech #2 3.
