Description
“HOT SPACE TOUR 1982” is a series of masterpieces. Among them, a superb live album called “North America’s top” by enthusiasts around the world is now available. This work includes “September 7, 1982 Oakland Performance”. This is the best audience recording. First of all, as usual, let’s check the show’s position from the overall picture of the world tour. “HOT SPACE” completed in March – April 9th - May 22nd: Europe (26 performances) “HOT SPACE” released on May 21st – May 29th – June 5th: UK (4 Performances) July 21st – September 15th: North America (33 performances) ←★Here★ October 19th – November 3rd: Japan (6 performances) This is an overview of “HOT SPACE TOUR 1982”. Until now, we have introduced many masterpieces of European legs, but this week we will introduce the North American edition. The simultaneously released “MADISON SQUARE GARDEN 1982 2ND NIGHT” was the beginning of the “North American” leg, but the Oakland performance of this work was in the later stages. This was the 25th concert. This work, which records such a show, is the best recording in North America in 1982. At the start of the performance, I was a little worried about the huge enthusiasm and the extremely thick core of “Flash” that was flowing, but that anxiety was soon resolved. The sound does not become roaring or explosive, but on the contrary, the sound changes in a neat direction while remaining extremely thick. By the time of “We Will Rock You (fast)” it becomes the best sound. After that, it was amazing. The bass, which tends to be weak in the audience, is also extremely thick, the attack of John’s bass roars, and the lines are clearly drawn. And for Roger, each shot of the bass drum reverberates through his five organs and is so powerful that it shakes his six senses. It’s amazing that the rhythm section is so powerful, but Freddie and Brian’s quality is second to none. The vocals and guitar are both very lively, yet beautifully separated. It is a rare masterpiece recording in which the ensemble does not become a lump, and all four members shine. The show drawn with that sound is also the highest peak of the North American leg. This tour is famous for its European part, which has a series of great performances, and although North America is not bad, it is a rule that they give in one step. However, this Oakland performance is different. The tension was clearly high compared to the previous and subsequent shows, and Freddie, who was in top form, was flying around. In “Play The Game”, the tremendous high notes are also abundant, and each word is filled with power. Even in “Yeah-O” after “Now I’m Here,” he showed off his smooth and powerful voice and wowed the audience, and even when Brian started playing the intro to the next song “Save Me,” he kept saying “Staaaay with me, baby. Aaaalright.” singing It’s a passion that makes you want to ask, “Did anything good happen?” This great performance and high tension is exactly comparable to the European leg…or maybe even surpassing it. Another point of this show is “Put Out The Fire”. “Action This Day,” “Calling All Girls,” and “Body Language” are also symbolic numbers unique to “HOT SPACE TOUR,” but “Put Out The Fire” is even more rare. I don’t know exactly when it premiered, but this is the first recorded sound. It is the only remaining performance outside of Japan. Freddie’s performance is not good, perhaps because he is not used to it, but Roger’s chorus has great tension. Freddie is not the only one who is doing well on this day. This is a masterpiece live album that perfectly combines sound, tension, and preciousness. As a matter of fact, the recording ended with the first encore song “Another One Bites The Dust”, and the finale of “We Will Rock You / We Are The Champions / God Save The Queen” was not recorded. The content itself is a masterpiece worthy of being called “the pinnacle of North America 1982.” A wonderful Magnum Opus.
