Description
“JAZZ JAPAN TOUR” is suddenly attracting attention with the appearance of the shocking works “YAMAGUCHI 1979” and “KOBE 1979”. This is a reprint of a masterpiece live album that records the scene with definitive sound. This work includes the “April 28, 1979: Nagoya International Exhibition Center” performance. Yes, it is the best audience recording that gained great popularity with that sold-out title “THE PLEASURE CHEST”. As mentioned earlier, this “JAZZ JAPAN TOUR” has recently been newly discovered. The collection has expanded considerably, so let’s organize it by schedule and check the position of this work. ・April 13th: “BUDOKAN 1979 1ST NIGHT” ・April 14th: “BUDOKAN 1979 2ND NIGHT” ・April 19th + 20th: “DEFINITIVE OSAKA 1979” ・April 21st: “KANAZAWA 1979″ ・April 23rd: “PRIDE AND JOY (Nippon Budokan)”・April 24th: Nippon Budokan・April 25th: “DREAMER’S BALL: BUDOKAN 1979 FINAL NIGHT”・April 27th: “KOBE 1979”・April 28th: Nagoya International Exhibition Hall ← ★This work★・April 30th + May 1st: “MEMORIAL GYM (Fukuoka)” May 2nd: “YAMAGUCHI 1979″ May 5th + 6th: Makomanai Ice Arena *Note: Only representative works are shown on each day. All in all, 15 performances. Not only is it QUEEN’s visit to Japan the most, but it is also packed with famous venues all over the country, including 5 performances at Nippon Budokan. Their Japan tour averages eight performances, so it was their peak, both in name and reality, as they performed nearly twice as many at once. You can now enjoy the collection as a live album, except for the 4th day at Nippon Budokan and the 2nd performance in Sapporo. The Nagoya performance of this work is the 10th concert in the second half of the longest tour. And this show was also a secret place where recording was not known for a long time. The situation changed with “MR. FAHRENHEIT” in 2008. I was shocked to be able to experience a show that no one had ever heard before, but even that was just a foreshock. Another recording with an even more wonderful sound, which is the main shock, was newly discovered in 2010. That is what this work is all about. Even compared to the shocking “MR. FAHRENHEIT,” this is an upgraded sound that surpasses it in all aspects: detailed clarity, close distance, direct feel, and deep three-dimensional effect. The on-site acoustics have a warm feel, so it’s not what you would call a “soundboard,” but the fresh sound of the four performers and singing voices jumping straight into your hands was overwhelming. The power of the dynamically approaching scenes is also wonderful, but it is the weak sound scenes that make you especially realize how good the recording is. The delicate sounds of the piano and acoustic guitar are mesmerizing with their delicateness and elegance. Please pay attention to the intro of “Death On Two Legs” for piano, and “Love Of My Life” for acoustic guitar. Although it absorbs the cheers that are flying around, it does not interfere with the delicate acoustic sound and even heightens the sentimental mood. Then, as soon as Freddie starts singing, the enthusiasm turns into silence, and Freddie’s singing voice echoes throughout the venue and permeates your whole body… How beautiful. A space of beauty that you’ll want to immerse yourself in forever, and the emotion you’ll feel within. This is the real thrill of audience recording. It is a famous recording that will let you fully enjoy it. The show drawn with such a sound is also wonderful. When Freddie came to Japan in 1979, there were many shows where Freddie was not doing well, and the TV broadcast of “April 25th” was especially difficult. Because the broadcast was so famous, Nagoya had a bad image, but Nagoya has recovered considerably. Of course, he was suddenly in great shape! It’s not a miracle, but there’s a lot of enthusiasm as if they’re trying to make up for the mistake of Nippon Budokan, and the deeply emotional tunes touch your heart. The sound of this work is so wonderful that you notice such subtleties. This work even made me forget the shocking “MR. FAHRENHEIT”. Due to its excellent quality, it was extremely popular and sold out. There were several times when inventory that had been sitting in the warehouse arrived, but all of them were sold out instantly. In response to the huge popularity of such a famous album of “JAZZ JAPAN TOUR 1979”, it has been reissued with new artwork.
