Description

This is a must-have video collection for collectors, compiling precious 8mm footage, mainly Queen’s private films, in chronological order, including bonus footage, for 2 hours and 20 minutes. Although the footage is mostly fragmented, all of them are of the highest quality currently available, and are not only useful as a collection, but also a very enjoyable item for beginners and enthusiasts alike, as a history of Queen’s behind-the-scenes footage, due to their high quality content. In addition to the official titles, there are definitive footage of Queen’s footage for each era, such as Rainbow in 1974, Christmas London in 1975, Hyde Park in 1976, Earl’s Court in 1977, and Houston, but behind the scenes there are many items that fans have taken with 8mm cameras. At that time, 8mm footage had limited shooting time per session, and many of them were recorded silently, but this edition has been edited to be enjoyed stress-free, such as by dubbing the actual concert audio. First, Disc 1, the 1977 “A Day At The Races” North American tour, recorded about 12 minutes of the Montreal, Canada performance on January 7th. The sound is well synchronized with the chopped up video, and both the picture and the sound are worth seeing and listening to, allowing you to enjoy the spectacular and dramatic live performance of that time. Among them, the long shot Ogre Battle and the precious White Man / The Prophet’s Song are worth seeing. Next, from the same ’76 tour, New York on February 6th, recorded 15 minutes of Nassau performance. Although it may become a blue screen state in the middle, the members are captured at close range, and the perfect shot that looks like a professional shot will greatly satisfy fans. Although it is only four songs recorded, each is captured in a long shot, and the nearly 8-minute Liar is a must-see. Next is the Boston performance on February 9th, three days later. The footage is from a distance from the stage, and the recording time varies from a few seconds to more than a minute, but it is very valuable. In ’39, you can see the members performing in a row. Next is the 1978 Jazz Tour, recorded at Buffalo, New York on November 28th. 16 songs are recorded in just 3 minutes, and the songs change rapidly every 10 seconds. However, the video and audio are of high quality, and it is a fun content that allows you to enjoy the whole concert at a fast pace. Next is the 1979 Live Killers Tour, recorded at Rotterdam, Netherlands on January 29th for about 20 minutes. This seems to be mastered from a dubbed video tape, and the image quality is not so good and the songs that are dubbed are appropriate, but the stage footage reminiscent of the 1979 Japan tour will surely be nostalgic for fans. Next is 26 minutes of professional shot footage of the Munich performance on February 11th from the same ’79 tour. Although it is a familiar video, the image quality is very good, and there is no doubt that even enthusiasts will be captivated. For beginners, it is worth getting this board just to get this video in this quality. The first disc on Disc 2 is a multi-camera recording of the August 18th performance in Sabrücken, Germany, from the 1979 Live Killers Tour. Freddie’s appearance wearing a hat only available during this period is a must-see. Next is the 1980 The Game Tour, which recorded a 26-minute performance in St. Paul on September 14th. This is a must-see take with very high quality image and sound, and can be enjoyed by fans of any level. Although it is an audience shot video, it is very rare to be able to enjoy the stage scenery with such a long and solid screen, and the close-up image is beautiful and stable, so fans can enjoy the TV broadcast level of the video. Next is the 1982 Hot Space Tour, which recorded a 9-minute shot of the May 10th performance in Boblingen, Germany. The content is a mix of precious shots from almost directly to the right of the stage and close-up footage from the front of the stage. The image quality and sound are not so good, and it is full of small pieces of footage, but it contains a large number of songs and has plenty of rare scenes. Fans will not be able to take their eyes off it for a moment! Although short, Action This Day, Love Of My Life, Liar, Staying Power, etc. are must-see parts. It is also good that God Save The Queen is carefully recorded. Bonus is an additional 18 minutes of “Hyde Park 1976” outtakes with a time counter. In addition, It’s Late is recorded for about 1 minute with a precious audience shot video in Berlin on January 24, 1979. Finally, the sound check scene at the venue on the first day of the performance in Rotterdam, Netherlands on January 29, 1979 is recorded with a professional shot. For fans, the must-see and must-have 2-disc DVD title that can enjoy the full content has been imported from overseas in limited quantities.
