Recorded directly from the digital PCM master, the vocals are loud and clear, with excellent balance across each part, and a wide range and depth for a powerful, clear sound quality. This was a shorter-than-usual set, supporting Stiff Little Fingers, but it included “World Destruction,” John’s 1984 collaboration with Afrika Bambaataa and produced by Bill Laswell, and a thunderous medley of “Annalisa/Attack/Chant” at the end! John’s powerful vocals showed no signs of fading throughout the set, and this tour marks the first tour since Lou Edmonds was replaced by Scott Firth on guitar, Lou Edmonds on bass, and Mark Roberts, a longtime friend of Lou Edmonds’s and John’s esteemed drummer, replaced Bruce Smith. John also spoke about recording a new album with Mark, and as the tour title suggests, this was a superb performance that showed plenty of enthusiasm for the future!
