Description

This rare recording features a high-quality stereo soundboard recording of a live performance at the Cincinnati concert at Bogart’s, a venue with a capacity of approximately 1,500 people, in Cincinnati, Ohio, from the US tour supporting their 1989 album “9.” This rare recording features a high-quality stereo soundboard recording of a live performance at the Bogart’s, a venue with a capacity of approximately 1,500 people, in Cincinnati, Ohio, from the US tour supporting their seventh studio album, “9,” released in May 1989. The recording utilizes digitally transferred audio from the Low Generator masters, resulting in a wide range of sound, with impeccable clarity in both mix and balance. This tour featured the same lineup as the original “9” recording: John McGough on guitar, Alan Diaz on bass, Bruce Smith on drums, and Ted Chau on guitar and keyboards, replacing Lou Edmonds, who temporarily withdrew due to illness. While two tracks from this tour, the opening number “Warrior” and the latter half of the album, “Worry,” are missing, the rest of the recording is complete. The setlist featured four tracks from their then-new album “9,” with only “Public Image” as the only early number, and included tracks from their previous album, “HAPPY?”, such as the single “Seattle.” The setlist consisted of tracks released since the 1983 single “This Is Not A Love Song.” While not participating in the live performance, Lou Edmonds was also credited as a songwriter on all the tracks. Enjoy the live performance from the release of the classic “9” with plenty of high-quality stereo soundboard recordings!
