Description
This 2CD compilation of unreleased session recordings of the historic studio sessions by Prince and Miles Davis, and the legendary jazz-funk album “The Flesh” produced under Miles’ influence, is a complete story. The album reproduces the historic session “Can I Play With You” that the two geniuses Prince and Miles Davis were destined to perform, and the legendary jazz-funk album “The Flesh” that Prince is said to have worked on under Miles’ influence from 1985 to the following year, and compiles the studio sessions in chronological order. Of course, the entire album is a compilation of unreleased recordings in the best quality and soundboard source available. It starts with “Can I Play With You,” the final completed version recorded by Prince, and check out the participation of Marcus Miller from Miles’ band at the same time. Then, the album “The Flesh” that was shelved and never released is completely reproduced. Inspired by Miles, Sheila E., Eric Leeds, and later Wendy & Lisa joined in to create a thrilling sound composition for this instrumental session, which is an extremely cool, ultimate jazz-funk with a jazzy taste and funky groove. Although it was completed as an album, it never saw the light of day. Until now, these session recordings have been distributed in parts or as individual songs, but here, all the session recordings recorded in chronological order, including related session recordings, are compiled with the finest stereo soundboard recordings. In addition, Hollywood session recordings from the same period are added as extra tracks, and there are plenty of valuable studio sessions that will surprise you again with how creative Miles was in producing the album “Parade” and the movie “Under the Cherry Moon” during this period.
