Prince / Dance Electric Long Version Edition

This title compiles all existing versions of “The Dance Electric,” originally written by Prince & The Revolution and later given to André Simone. First, from the 2013 reissue of ‘A.C.’ which includes “The Dance Electric,” there are the album version, the single or edited version, and the long version (though it’s shorter than some other versions). Then there’s the extended version, which features almost no vocals from André. Dr. Funkenberry actually owned an unreleased acetate of “The Dance Electric,” which he uploaded for a time. This version was very close to the extended version with André singing (though it has some noise and skips due to the master). This is included. Next is the version from André’s music video, which lacks Prince’s influence. Furthermore, there’s a demo by Prince, which features unusual drumming and a different development in the middle. Finally, there’s the original version by Prince & The Revolution. And lastly, the version included in the deluxe edition of Purple Rain. Comparing it to the original version, honestly, the original version has a much more intense and cool guitar sound.
