Description
THE PRETENDERS are touring the world energetically with their new album “RELENTLESS”. Here is a superb IEM album that will pour their latest stage into your brain. This work records the “Wheatland performance on August 14, 2024”. It is an official IEM recording. Speaking of THE PRETENDERS, last year’s masterpiece pro shots “GLASTONBURY FESTIVAL 2023” and “RADIO 2 IN THE PARK: LEICESTER 2023” are also fresh in my memory. With that in mind, let’s first take a look at the overview of their current activities and check the position of this work. 2023 February 5-10: UK #1 (5 shows) May 12-July 11: Europe #1 (24 shows) ←※GLASTONBURY FESTIVAL 2023 August 11-September 7: North America #1 (12 shows) 《September 9th release of “RELENTLESS”》 September 17-25: Europe #2 (6 shows) ←※RADIO 2 IN THE PARK ・October 1st-6th: North America #2 (4 performances) ・October 19th-27th: UK #2 (5 performances) 2024 ・June 14th-July 7th: Europe #3 (8 performances) ・July 13th-August 23rd: North America #3 (25 performances) ←★Here★ ・September 6th-November 1st: Europe #4 (35 performances) This is the 20233/2024 schedule that has been announced so far. The two pro shots mentioned above were around the time of the release of “RELENTLESS”, but the tour started in earnest in 2024. The Wheatland performance of this work was the 21st concert of such “North America #3”. This work that conveys such a show is an eye-catching, high-end IEM interception. It’s so wonderful that you would think this is the official soundboard. The IEM audio is a mix for members and on-site staff, and is usually specialized for the sounds necessary for progression, such as checking the starting point of the performance and effect processing. That’s why music works often have a strange balance, but this work is a rare exception. Although I don’t know who the IEM is for, the drums and bass are well-balanced, and the placement interval with the guitar and keyboard is also good. Above all, the vocals are firmly in the center of the stereo feeling, and there is no instability or missing parts that are common with IEMs. Moreover, the finishing is also careful. In fact, this work is not a live recording of the IEM, but the enthusiast who released it treated it independently. Thanks to that, the balance from treble to deep bass is also full of balanced beauty, and each sound sounds lustrous. There is a sense of excavation when combined with the rawness that makes you feel the instruments vibrating, but as a music work, it boasts a degree of completion that is more than enough. The superb IEM sound depicts a full show currently in progress, including plenty of new songs. Let’s organize the contents here. Recent works (11 songs) HATE FOR SALE: Hate For Sale / Turf Accountant Daddy / The Buzz / You Can’t Hurt A Fool RELENTLESS: Losing My Sense Of Taste / A Love / Vainglorious / Domestic Silence / I Think About You Daily / Merry Widow / Let The Sun Come In Classics (11 songs) PRETENDERS: Kid / Private Life / Precious LEARNING TO CRAWL: My City Was Gone / Thumbelina / Back On The Chain Gang / Time The Avenger / Middle Of The Road Others: Don’t Cut Your Hair / Biker / I’ll Stand By You … and so on. For veterans of the 80s, it is natural to focus on nostalgic melodies, but they are different. The axis is the two recent works “HATE FOR SALE” and “RELENTLESS”, which alone take up half of the show. Of course, the golden age is the main focus of the classics, but that’s not all. They also performed “Biker” and “I’ll Stand By You” from the 90s and “Don’t Cut Your Hair” from the 2000s. It’s a treasure chest of extremely wide-ranging masterpieces. They performed seven new songs, and the latest stage is full of active feeling. It’s an IEM album that will pour undiminished energy directly into your brain. I don’t know if the official live album of the “RELENTLESS Tour” will be realized, but even if it doesn’t come true, it’s no problem if you have this work. It’s an exquisite masterpiece in such a dimension, and it’s an absolute album that you should put on the shelf next to “RELENTLESS”. The best IEM recording of the “Wheatland performance on August 14, 2024”. IEMs for work audio tend to have problems with chipping and balance, but this work is a rare exception. The mix and sound are musical and beautiful, and it’s so wonderful that you’d think it was an official soundboard. The new “RELENTLESS” repertoire will also be played in large quantities, and the latest stage with a full sense of activity will be poured into your brain. It is an absolute album that replaces the official one. Almost the official sound board! Hard Rock Live, Wheatland, CA, USA 14th August 2024 Disc 1 (50:17) 01. Intro 02. Losing My Sense Of Taste 03.
