Description
Here is a rare soundboard live performance of the super unit formed by Duran Duran’s John Taylor and Andy Taylor with Robert Palmer at the front. The July 28th performance at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles from the 1985 summer tour, in which Palmer was replaced by former Silverhead member Michael De Palace, was made official quality by the FM on-air master. This is a complete recording of the ensemble, which has a high degree of freedom when performing live, and the speed of the performance varies depending on the mood, so there are many things to listen to. In particular, Tony Thompson’s powerful and heavy drums and Andy’s excellent guitar playing are sharp throughout the set, and the set includes “Get It On”, which started this project, and the big hit single “Some Like It Hot”. VU includes Duran Duran’s signature songs such as “Hungry Like The Wolf,” which uses Andy’s guitar solo as an intro, and the long version of “Obsession,” which features Rap & Stones’ “It’s Only Rock N’ Roll.” “White Light/White Heat” is a must-listen.
