Description
A two-disc set directly copied from the original two-disc LP with matrix number “M-502”. Of course, the pitch has been corrected. The “Original LP Version” section of Disc 3-4 of the Sirene-176 disc released in 2006, which was particularly well-received from the viewpoint of faithfulness to the original, has now been reissued as a limited edition CDR. This title is a direct recording from the original “M-502” LP. It is a complete reprint from the original record in very good condition that we miraculously obtained, in a situation where it is difficult to find the original, let alone one in good condition. This “M-502” LP had the disadvantage of pitch fluctuation on the third and fourth sides due to the misalignment of the center hole-out in all discs, but this has been perfectly corrected. When comparing this “Original LP Version” with the remastered version of the Sirene discs 1-2, the impression is quite different from the beginning. The remastered version, which has been given a flashy treatment, has a high sound pressure and a fast sound rise, so the hiss noise is quite prominent. On the other hand, the Original LP Version has a slow and subdued sound rise, but it is very natural and has a full and mellow sound overall. As for the Sirene version, I think there are quite a few people who prefer this take of the Original LP Version. Comparing the Sigma version released in 2013 with this Original LP Version, this is also quite a different texture, which is very interesting. The Sigma version has a low overall volume but also a very low trace noise, while the Original LP Version has a high volume but the trace noise is quite noticeable from the beginning. Although there is a difference in volume, even the Original LP Version sounds a little flashy compared to the Sigma version this time, which is strange. Is this due to the different origins of the records (Matrix M-502 and Matrix 1,2,3,4) or simply a difference in mastering? In any case, you will be surprised at how different the sound impression sounds depending on the LP record used and the mastering used when making it into a CD.
