Description
Last year, the Floyd first visit to Japan movement swept through the collector world. Perhaps as a result of that, the best master was newly excavated from his second visit to Japan through his own route. This work is recorded at “March 10, 1972: Kyoto Prefectural Gymnasium”. It is a legendary audience recording. Floyd’s second visit to Japan, which took place in just seven months, is a major event in the history of Japanese Western music that is no less than his first visit to Japan. Our shop has also archived many treasures. First of all, let’s look back on the schedule and organize our collection.・March 6th “ECLIPSE OF THE SUN (Tokyo)” ・March 7th “DEFINITIVE TOKYO 1972 2ND NIGHT” ・March 8th “DEFINITIVE OSAKA 1972 1ST NIGHT” ・March 9th “ASSORTED LUNATICS (Osaka)” ・March 10th: Kyoto Prefectural Gymnasium ←★This work★ ・March 13th “SAPPORO 1972” *Only representative works on each day. All six performances. Records of all performances have been unearthed, and the Kyoto performance is no exception. However, there is only one record of this show. Therefore, there is no hope of differences in recording time or supplementation with other recordings, and upgrades have been repeated due to different generations and routes. And this work is at the forefront of that trend. It is the highest peak update board that will be “the best” in the milestone year of the 50th anniversary. In fact, the new master is the same as the previous recording, and the unrecorded encore (probably “Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun” or “Atom Heart Mother”) is the same. However, the sound that depicts it is wonderful in a different class. The best version of the past is “KYOTO 1972 (Sigma 92)”, but in comparison, the silent part is clear and the outline is clear and vivid. Roger’s singing voice is sharp from the beginning, and the hall sound that spreads from there is colorful but transparent. Although the thick sound remains the same, it feels like only the turbidity contained there has been removed. To put it in extreme terms, the previous master was “doburoku” and this work is “seishu”. Such is the clarity of the brilliance. Moreover, surprisingly, there is no unnaturalness that seems to have been raised by digital mastering. Although it is a master brought from an overseas core collector by a unique route, it is simply natural. Even though “KYOTO 1972” was the 1st generation master, it is probably not a difference in generation, but a difference in sound quality due to a different route. Even if you understand it logically, a sound of brilliance that you cannot convince flows into your ears. After all, you can only describe it as “different class”. There is no need to pile up words about the show depicted with that sound. It is a Japanese performance of “Madness” that was in the unreleased stage, and the sense of illusion that has been said to be due to contact with Kyoto culture is unique. That unique mood spreads more vividly and clearly. It is such an upgrade album. A newly excavated master provided to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Japan. Audience recording of “March 10, 1972: Kyoto Prefectural Gymnasium”. It is an upgrade master of a legendary famous recording, and the upgrade is “almost different”. Compared to the conventional best version “KYOTO 1972”, the silent part is clear and the outline is clear and vivid. Roger’s singing voice is sharp from the beginning, and the hall sound that spreads out from there is colorful yet transparent. The thick sound remains the same, but the muddiness contained in it is gone and the clarity of the crystal clear shine is clear. This is a cultural heritage album commemorating the 50th anniversary of the unique record that conveys “Kyoto in 1972”.
