Description
Recorded approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes of the October 31st Toledo, Ohio performance from the fall North American tour that took place after the release of “Middle” in 1971. It is a valuable sound source that has almost never been made into a disc in the past, and it is a rare sound source that was only released once a few years ago. This time, that disc has been remastered. We have reduced low-frequency distortion and naturally raised the scale of the sound image, creating a higher-grade piece. The sound quality is very clear and close, and it is a first-class title that boasts outstanding sound quality and good content. The opening Embryo and Fat Old Sun are probably missing, and it starts with a cut-in from the beginning of Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun, but as mentioned above, the surprise is the splendor of the sound quality, with a direct feeling and high separation. It is recorded with wonderful sound full of emotion. In any case, it can be said that the recorder was extremely lucky that the sound image was extremely close and yet the sound did not crack. The sound is so loud that it seems like it’s about to blow off the REC meter, but that’s why the sound is so powerful and dramatic. The clarity of the high range is not lost at all, and for example, the glittering keyboard sound with excellent acoustics in Set The Controls- will make you feel dizzy. You can tell with one listen that this take was a direct transfer from a fairly young tape. It is the perfect sound source to experience a psychedelic wall of sound with realistic sound. In the following Atom Heart Mother, the tremendous sound that was on the verge of distortion filled the speakers, and it was truly a masterpiece. Of course, even though the sound is close, it is different from the directness of line recording, so it is definitely not a title for beginners, but this dynamic sound with good freshness and little deterioration is truly wonderful and can be heard in various places. The charm of the mysterious sound has a tremendous color development, which greatly fascinates the listener. If you are a Floyd fan, you must listen to this recording. The set includes a number of famous masterpieces from this period, but on this day’s encore, Blues was played instead of A Saucerful Of Secrets, just like in the Ann Arbor, Michigan performance on October 28th. The point is that it is. The pitch, which was slightly higher in the original sound, has also been accurately corrected. A remastered version of the masterpiece live sound source from the late 1971 North American tour, where you can enjoy the sonic response beyond your imagination.
