Description

“UMMAGUMMA LIVE ALBUM SIDE” was greeted with shock as soon as it was released. Two sequel “FLAT TRANSFER” albums will be released simultaneously. This is the second of these, following “Umaguma”. More is the soundtrack of the film directed by Barbe Schroeder. [A miraculous new discovery by the original master before cutting] “UMMAGUMMA LIVE ALBUM SIDE” was truly shocking. “FLAT TRANSFER MASTER”, which was newly discovered in a European country, was brought through its own route, and this is the source of the surprise. It is neither the beginning of the product LP nor the cutting master. It was a master tape with zero deterioration that had never been converted into physical grooves. Moreover, it is a finished product. It’s not a demo or rough mix that is common with leaked material, but the mixdown and mastering are perfectly finished. This is just a guess, but I think it was probably one of the master tapes distributed to various countries for press purposes. Although it is a familiar masterpiece, it was a shocking work drawn with an unknown master sound. However, the impact did not end with just one work. Two masters arrive one tempo behind “UMMAGUMMA LIVE ALBUM SIDE”. This work is “FLAT TRANSFER MASTER” of “More” which is one of them. [Shocking “More” that even expresses the presence of a small bird] The biggest point of this work is, of course, the sound. The last album “UMMAGUMMA LIVE ALBUM SIDE” was also shocking, but it was just a live album. However, this time it is a studio work. The upgrade is even more striking. The best thing about it is its freshness. This was also mentioned in the explanation of “UMMAGUMMA LIVE ALBUM SIDE”, but the masters of early PINK FLOYD’s works deteriorated when they were first released on CD in 1987. Even in the remastered version from the 1990s, the deterioration was simply disguised through digital processing, and it was thought that the sound of the album at the time was lost. However, in the newly discovered “FLAT TRANSFER MASTER”, that “sound before deterioration” remained. This work is a true master sound CD with no equalization or limiter. In fact, the subtlety of the sound is something I have never experienced before. It’s completely different from the chirping in the “Cirrus Minor” intro. Previous CDs had the feeling of “a little bird chirping”, but this one feels like “a little bird’s throat is trembling”. You can even feel the vibration of the feathers that tremble with the cry, and even the nuances of the cry that change subtly by shaking the head. If the SE becomes that detailed, the difference in performance sound will be even more vivid. You can feel the vibrations of the strings in the roaring guitar of “The Nile Song,” and the percussion of “Crying Song” is so clear that even the slightest effect shakes. Of course, such detail enhancement is more than just fine detail. Previous CDs had the feeling that the “platform of performance” was piled up like layers as various sounds overlapped, but this work is not a “board” but a “thread” of each note. It feels like. This weaves the fabric of the song in every direction, making the sound world feel three-dimensional. Not only does it have a good audio quality, but it also has a sense of reality that allows you to see through the vibrations of the instrument and the presence of the performer’s fingers. The main part of the album alone is enough to fill you with emotion, but this work also includes additional delicious bonus tracks. You can also enjoy the 4 outtakes of “More”. Although this is not the leaked “FLAT TRANSFER MASTER”, it is still recorded in the highest existing version (including the official one). We have created a definitive edition where you can enjoy the results of the “More” sessions all at once. “Enjoy a masterpiece with the best sound”…A simple yet profound desire that can be said to be limitless. What is the ultimate sound, and what remains of it? Enthusiasts around the world have searched for it using all their wisdom, effort, and curiosity. This work is the “More” edition that is the result of that journey of exploration. This is the “master sound before it becomes a groove” that can’t be reached even on the 1st press LP, let alone the official CDs that use degraded masters. This is amazing. “More” has a more natural and high-quality sound than any official CD. It is a digitized version of the uncut master tape brought in through a unique route, and there is no equalization or limiter applied, and you can enjoy a sound with zero deterioration that has never been converted into a physical groove. It also includes 4 bonus outtakes from “More”, making it the definitive album where you can enjoy the results of the “More” sessions with the best sound all at once.
