Description
Recorded on the 3rd day of the 1975 Second North American Tour, the 2nd day performance in Landover, Maryland on June 10th. Unfortunately, the sound source that appeared this time was only the first part of the show (Raving And Drooling ~ Shine On You Crazy Diamond Part 6-9), which was a half-hearted content of 55 minutes in total, but what was surprising was how excellent it was. If you are a Floyd fan, this sound quality alone will definitely satisfy you! This is a must-listen album. The highest level of sound quality that can rival the many excellent sound sources of the 1975 North American tour. All the musical tones are recorded very clearly, and the ideal balance and texture of the sound, which is natural, deep, and fresh with little interference, is a masterpiece. Not only the performance, but also the wonderful sound of the sound check between songs, you will fall in love with it while listening to it. In particular, the clean output sound of Roger’s bass sound and the natural spread of the high range centered on the keyboard are impressive. Of course, the best version has been created, with the overall sound adjusted and pitch corrected through moderate remastering to the extent that the original sound is not affected. The characteristic of this sound source is that it does not have a high quality sound that pierces the ears, but rather a soft feel. In any case, it may be surprising to find such a clear and direct sound with a strong presence. The only drawback is that the sound gets a little far away around the 13 minute mark of You Gotta Be Crazy (you can hear a female voice saying “Bye”), but other than that it can be said to be almost perfect. As mentioned above, since only the first part of the show is recorded, the recording time is as short as 55 minutes, but it is unusual that there is no tape change cut in Shine On You Crazy Diamond Parts 6-9, and it is noteworthy. It has become an advantage point. Although it is an odd content that only includes the first half of the show, I dare to release it on a press CD, so I think you can understand how amazing this sound source is. It is amazing enough that the Landover performance, which had not even been rumored to exist until now, appeared for the first time, but the sound quality is truly amazing. Please take this opportunity to obtain the new sound source of Floyd’s 1975 Landover performance, which is one of the excavated sound sources that represent 2012.
