Description
An ultra-class mega-rare LP recording of Pink Floyd’s 1971 Hakone Aphrodite will be in stock this weekend!! This year, more Floyd titles than ever before have appeared in our store. However, the one that reigns at the top is none other than “HAKONE APHRODITE 1971 MASTER RECORDING”, which appeared in September. It was a sensational title that amazed Floyd fans all over the world, including the complete recording of “Taiyou Hymn” that appeared on that day for the first time in the history of Hakone sound source, and the completely uncut “version” of “Echoes” that finally appeared. . The sound image that had a slight problem with the master was perfectly restored in the remastered and restored version “HAKONE APHRODITE 1971 MASTER RECORDING: REMASTERED RESTORED” that appeared immediately after, and it became a masterpiece title that truly represents the unofficial Floyd record of 2015. As you all know, it was. By the way, did you know that there was once an analog bootleg version of the Hakone Aphrodite sound source? It is a phantom record known as the “Peace Record”, of which only 100 copies exist, and is extremely simple, with just a white label with a peace mark (* ☮) and a sticker with the word “RECORD” typed on it. However, it is an ultra-rare record that has a strange presence that sends out a danger signal to the collector’s antenna that needs to be checked. The record was produced in the 1970s, and according to documents, it is said that the producer who went to Hakone Aphrodite in 1971 to record Floyd made it as a commemoration of himself. It was a completely private edition that was never displayed or sold in stores, and was distributed only to close acquaintances and those involved at the time, and only 100 copies were pressed. It seems that it disappeared soon because it was not made for commercial use, so there was no title, no jacket originally existed, only a translucent bag, no white sleeve, and a simple design. It is bound with only a label. The product image on the right and the jacket of this album feature a photo of the master record, so please take a look, but I think most people have probably never even seen the label. Moreover, it is known that this original reel tape no longer exists, and its value will only increase in the future. Also, the recorded content is ultra rare, especially “Cimbaline” that can be heard here is a one-of-a-kind take that can only be heard in this recording even in the 21st century. The same song recorded on the two-disc set “APHRODITE” that we previously carried was also copied from this take, and it was included on the disc end of the popular Sigma label “APHRODITE 1971” and its new edition “APHRODITE 1971”. This is the same thing. For these reasons, this record is now coveted by collectors, and is a mega-rare record that is too valuable to be priced at. According to a famous Floyd collector, I was told that if it were to go on the market, it would probably cost no less than 100,000 yen. It is extremely valuable and is commonly known as “Peace Record”, but it has only been made into a CD once. “APHRODITE” was released in the 1990s. If you’re an avid fan, I’m sure you’ve picked this up at least once, and I’m sure there are quite a few of you who heard Hakone Aphrodite’s Floyd performance for the first time with this title. This work, which will be delivered urgently this time, is a shocking CD title that is a direct transfer of the ultra-rare “Peace Record” that was also used on the DYNAMITE edition of the past from the actual master!! If I write it this way, those who own the DYNAMITE edition may think, “Well, I already know the sound, so it’s fine.” But that is precisely the reason why this work appears, and it is also a special topic that I would like to tell you about. There are two reasons for this. The first is the fact that the sound of the DYNAMITE album, which we had become accustomed to, was actually a highly equalized product, and the sound was far removed from the image of the original. This is a great discovery that was only made possible because we were able to actually obtain the original disc, but the original disc, which was carefully played using the latest turntable and a professional needle for professional equipment, was incomparably thicker than the DYNAMITE disc. The sound had elasticity, the sound image itself was dense, and it was a special quality sound that made you feel a beautiful moisture throughout. I have no intention of saying anything bad about the masterpieces of yesteryear, which have been popular for a long time, but anyone who listens to this should be able to understand how flat and light the sound of the DYNAMITE version was, and the original version is To that extent, the feel and tone were completely different. Another topic is that the needle crackling noise, which was very noticeable in almost every scene on the DYNAMITE version, is absent in this work, so much so that it can be said to be almost perfect. I’m not saying that there are no crackling sounds, but there is no doubt that the sound image is so transparent, high-quality, and profound that it is difficult to detect crackling sounds, giving off an extraordinary listening experience. If you listen to this work, you will understand that the disc used is not only mega rare, but also that its condition and recorded sound are of mega quality. Also, since this work is a direct transfer version of Peace Records, everything from the original has been pressed exactly as it is. Due to the allocation of recording time on the LP version, the order of the songs has been changed considerably, and since there has been no remastering other than pitch correction, the recorded sound comes out exactly as it was on the original. However, to be honest, it’s amazing that such a high-quality sound with almost no needle patter comes out, and this is a title that allows you to enjoy the surprise of familiar sounds appearing in primary colors at the highest value. The DYNAMITE edition was a title from the early days of bootleg CDs, but this straight original title is the first update in about 20 years since then, so the value as a sound source and the upper feeling are exactly the same. Those who are used to listening to the DYNAMITE edition will be familiar with it by now, but finally, let’s write down how much the sound is different from the original. I think many of you are familiar with the sound, so I hope you can use the sound in your head and this textual information to understand the difference from the DYNAMITE version and the appeal of the original version. First of all, the beginning is a typical greeting by a popular DJ at the time, but there is a silent part of about 5 seconds before that voice actually comes out, and this silent part, which was cut on the DYNAMITE edition, is the start of the disc. It comes out in its original appearance (*Of course there is no needle crackling sound during that time). “Green Is the Color”, which starts immediately after, appears in the cut-in state as usual, but the core of the tone and the smooth, glossy sound image give off an impression of something different from the DYNAMITE album from the beginning. You will be astonished as the texture of Gilmore’s singing voice will appear in a different dimension of warmth and texture from the image you were used to. In “Eugene,” the organ used in the performance sounds in the original tone that would have sounded at the actual venue, and the power of the tone that comes out is completely different. The bass also has a completely different impression of elasticity than before, and the intersection of Roger’s stifled strange voice and Gilmore’s falsetto emits a dazzling sound that far exceeds the sound image that we are used to. . After SCREAM, the music becomes more intense and dynamic, and the sound is very dense, but when you listen to it, it becomes clear how bland and weightless the sound of the DYNAMITE album was. , you should be able to understand how much the sound image of the original is a sound that arouses interest. As usual, “Echoes” is a fragment recording of the first half and the second half, but even though it is a fragment, the flash of knowledge that the performance had at that time is emitted in the tone unique to the original recording, so it is possible to record the fragments that are in your head right now. It is certain that the image of the familiar sound will disappear in an instant. The way the music undulates after the first half of the lyrics are over paints a picture of the DYNAMITE album being blown away like dynamite, and the sound image when the performance explodes after returning to the singing part in track 5 also gives a sense of weight. Most people will be awakened by an unknown excitement due to the intense feeling. This is the B-side from “Atom Heart Mother”. From the introduction, the undulation and elasticity of the song with a lower center of gravity than before is evident, and the tones of each part are so thick and lustrous that you wonder what the sounds you were used to are. It will appear in The density of the sound of the organ is also wonderful, and when Gilmore’s falsetto comes in (*5 minutes 02 seconds ~), the floating feeling of the voice and the diffusion of the sound come out with a dense sound that blows away the DYNAMITE album. The appearance of the organ’s countermelody dazzlingly intersecting fills the entire sound image with a high quality of euphoria and the aroma of the sound, which is unlike anything before. Also, even after the drums come in at exactly 9 minutes 00 seconds, the movement of the two voices, the organ, and the bass come out with clear sounds, but each part has a gorgeous sound from the central sound image. Only the original LP can show the full bloom. “Cimbaline” also has a special and vivid sound that can only be found on the original version, and Gilmore’s voice and organ absorb plenty of the atmosphere and reach your ears with a more direct sound than the DYNAMITE version. All the sounds emitted suddenly melt into the darkness, and the scene of being sucked into the mountains of Hakone is played with a more visual sound than ever before, and the excitement of the sound, which was a pale sepia color, becomes a richer sepia color. They will repaint it. Also, the fireworks that go off at several points in the song emit explosive sounds with the vividness that is unique to the original recording, so the high quality of the live recording is also extremely high here. Even in the example scene that is cut just before the end of the song and reaches the show end, when you listen to the tone filled with the descriptive power of this master disc, you will definitely feel a painful agony that is more than the dilemma you felt on the DYNAMITE version. You can also strongly recognize this sound source as a unique feature. 2015 was an important year that brought great news to the history of Floyd Hakone Aphrodite’s sound source, and the appearance of this Peace Record master at the end will be a good conclusion. This is probably the first time many of you have seen a photo of the actual LP, and I think it was truly miraculous that our store staff was able to obtain it in almost mint condition. However, because of that, I think you can now understand that the DYNAMITE STUDIO edition, which was released early in the 90s, was actually quite a miraculous release.
