Description

A direct recording of the “Omoto master before equalization” of the take used on disc 1 of “APHRODITE” (2CD), which was released in 2006 and became a hot topic among fans due to its high quality. (Recording time 61 minutes 48 seconds). Although there are problems with hiss and partial noise, you can enjoy the most important concert for Japanese Floyd fans with the tone and natural texture as it was recorded on the tape. The original master was a 60-minute tape, and although there are some negative aspects such as the tape turning on and off between songs and the hiss noise changing partially due to the limiter, it was a fairly high level recording at the time. There is no doubt that it is. The intro includes about 3 minutes of Buffy St. Marie standing on stage that day, followed by Floyd’s sound check, and Goro Itoi’s familiar announcement, “Introducing Pink Floyd. This is Pink Floyd!” , Following another sound check, Floyd’s stage is recorded for about 55 minutes. The 16-minute long Atom Heart Mother, which progresses in a mystical mood that seems to purify everything, is a masterpiece. The incredibly clear sound of the vocal part of Green Is The Colour, played following the sound check. There is a cut during the song due to a tape change at Eugene’s 1 minute 35 second mark, but you can also enjoy the powerful performance. Echoes is a recording of about 20 minutes, and although there is analog noise in some parts, it is a high-quality sound source that sounds like a soundboard recording depending on the part. It’s very unfortunate that the tape ended before returning to the final vocal part, and the last part of Echoes and Cymbaline, which was recorded on the analogue, have not been recorded, but this is a recording of the last part of Echoes and Cymbaline, which was recorded in Japan at a time when Echoes was unfinished. I’m very happy to be able to listen to this level of quality. This is a definitive recording take that ranks at the pinnacle of the secret recording takes of concerts held in Japan, and it is a fantastic sound world that transcends time and space, as only Floyd could have done. A must-listen master version for all 70’s Western music fans. Please use this as a comparison target with this historic new excavated sound source “HAKONE APHRODITE 1971: MASTER RECORDING”. Live at Hakone Aphrodite, Hakone, Japan 6th August 1971 (Direct Master Version) (61:48) 1. The Circle Game (Buffy Sainte-Marie) 2. Soundcheck/Announcement 3. Atom Heart Mother 4. Soundcheck 5.
