Description

On February 20th, the 13th day of the 1977 “In The Flesh” tour, Belgium completely recorded the Antwerp performance with high-quality audience recording. This is a must-have for fans, recorded in perfect master quality with outstanding freshness. At the beginning, you may get the impression that the sound quality is not good due to Sheep’s slightly rough sound image, but as you listen further, you will notice that it is a wonderful sound image with no stagnation or deterioration in the treble or bass. It becomes clear that it is a recording. The sound is extremely stable, and there are no annoying spectators around the recorder, so you can enjoy your performance to the fullest. The serious mood and solidly strong ensemble typical of the European performance are wonderful, and you can listen to the ideal performance of the Animals tour, which is completely different from the later American performances. Mason’s drums are clearly recorded in the overall sound image, so you can enjoy a very crisp performance. Every song shows a high level of perfection, but in the guitar solo from 1 minute 50 seconds into Dogs, there is a part where Gilmore messes up the solo, probably because he forgot the solo structure ( (around 2:20). There are other parts where Gilmore plays wilder than usual, and there are some surprising moments when listening to it. The twin guitar solo in the late 3 minute range is recorded with surprisingly clear and powerful sound. You can hear Roger whispering “13” at 12:15 in Pigs. The beginning of the second part of SOYCD is recorded with a fade-in. Also pay attention to the unusual guitar solo of this day, Gilmore’s long solo of this day, which can be heard with a deep clear sound, is a perfect score to listen to. Like the first half, the drums recorded with a powerful sound are also impressive. During the singing part, the audience erupts in applause. Welcome To The Machine’s entire parts, including the sound effect synths, have been recorded very well, making this a powerful take. In the second half of Have A Cigar, you can enjoy White’s original solo with a familiar sound from later Thin Lizzy. SOYCD Pt6-9, where you can enjoy a nearly 20-minute sound drama, has a clear sound, and you can enjoy a masterpiece filled with creativity that maintains the tension until the end. The encore Money, which has not been collected in the main part, is recorded from the Paris performance, which was held two days after the Antwerp performance.
