Description
Approximately two years after his shocking departure from GENESIS, Peter Gabriel’s very early soundboard album, which started as a solo project, is now available. This work was recorded at “March 15, 1977 Cleveland Performance”. Peter Gabriel’s first solo tour began on March 5th, and this work is the 6th performance. It is the earliest stereo soundboard recording that records the beginning of independence. Of course, the greatness of this work is not just the initial stage. The quality itself is amazing. The broadcast sound source of this day was a standard known from the analog era, but it was short and had two sounds. However, this work is fully recorded and has a complete official sound. It is not just an official level, but is definitely number one on the “1977 TOUR”. It is one of the best super sound boards in Gabriel’s entire solo career. The first tour drawn with such a sound is also wonderful. The highlight is Robert Fripp (participating under the pseudonym Dusty Lord). Fripp also participated in Gabriel’s debut solo album “PETER GABRIEL I (commonly known as CAR)” and will also be in charge of producing his second “PETER GABRIEL II (commonly known as SCRATCH)”, and here he also participated fully on guitar. . He has a unique tone that is unique to him. The leader of KING CRIMSON and the former leader of GENESIS, two of the five major progressive rock groups, will share the stage for a live performance, layering their unique sounds. You can listen to it all in official quality sound… Just this fact alone makes me dizzy and dizzy. The other backmen are also amazing. Even though it’s only the 6th performance of the solo tour, it’s very early, but it’s already in perfect condition. That’s no wonder; the core of the band, Steve Hunter, Tony Levin, Alan Schwartzberg, and Jimmy Maylen, were brought in by CAR producer Bob Ezrin, but they decided to pursue solo careers ahead of time. He also solidified his combination as a backup for ALICE COOPER, who was independent as a band. At that time, ALICE was producing a series of dramatic concept pieces in addition to glamorous rock and roll, and was the perfect person to start Gabriel, and this work also features an ironclad ensemble. The show, which is performed with such a superb sound and iron-clad ensemble, has a fresh straight rock style that is a little different from the later Gabriel. In between all the songs of “CAR”, “On The Air” and “A Song Without Words (retitled Indigo)” from “SCRATCH” were already performed, and a rare song only for this tour, “Why Don’t We”, Marvin Gaye. and THE KINKS covers. And finally, the last song is “Back In N.Y.C.” by his old club GENESIS! When I got here, I was instantly in the mood for “70s progressive rock.” The GENESIS song spun by Flip and Gabriel has an official sound… layered over and over, it’s amazing. It’s a great live album. Furthermore, this work also includes a bonus radio interview from 1977. It was recorded in Manchester in April following the main live performance, and it is an interesting and valuable sound source that Peter himself plays the piano and explains the composition of “Solsbury Hill”. Gabriel has started his career as an artist on his own, and Flip and other members have gathered to celebrate his departure. Although it is a different music world from both GENESIS and later solos, it is a wonderful stage that pulls you in with a luxurious and reliable performance. This is a piece that promises the best live performance with the best sound, not only for fans of Gabriel and Fripp, but also for those who think “Gabriel’s solos aren’t that great…” or those who only know of his previous singles.
