An expanded version of “Tripping The Live Fantastic”! Several live B-sides have been added to the end of CDs 1 and 2, and CD 3 contains live recordings from 1985 to 1990. Knebworth has 4 songs, as opposed to the CD with only 2 songs! “BIRTHDAY”, which has 4 versions, is included on a very rare and valuable sampler. It’s a great effort to collect all of these! A very satisfying 3-disc work! Of course, all tracks are made with super high quality soundboard sound sources, so it’s recommended for everyone. There are few items that focus on “Tripping The Live Fantastic”, so it’s very popular with Paul fans! Recorded live at The Paul McCartney World Tour. 26 September 1989 – 30 June 1990 CD 1Track 1-19 & CD 2, 1-18 – Tripping the Life Fantastic, a 2- or 3-disc live album that documents Paul McCartney’s return to live touring. You can check the Wikipedia page for when and where each song was recorded, so I won’t go into detail here. Track 20 – Good Day Sunshine – Live take from Montreal on December 9th 1989. Released on the 7″ & 12″ singles and 5″ CD-single of “Birthday”. Track 21 – C Moon – Soundcheck at Palatrussardi, Milan, Italy on October 26th 1989. Included on the 7″ & 12″ & CD-single of “All My Trials”. Track 22 – All My Trials – Milan performance on October 27th 1989, the following day. CD 2 Track 19 – Let ‘Em In – Tokyo performance on March 5th 1990. Released on the 12″ single and 5″ CD-single of “Birthday”. Track – Mull of Kintyre – Glasgow, Scotland performance on June 23rd 1990. Released on several versions of the “All My Trials” single. CD 3 Track 1 – Let It Be – Recorded live at Live Aid on 13 July 1985. There was a fault with the vocal mic which Paul fixed in the studio the following day. Track 2 – 4 – 20 June 1986 Prince’s Trust 10th Anniversary Birthday Party. Track 5 – 6 – 19 November 1987 Paul recorded “Jet” and “Listen to What the Man Said” at the BBC Television Theatre, Shepherd’s Bush, London to promote “All The Best”. Track 7 – 9 – Six weeks later on 27 November 1987 Paul recorded three tracks at Ewart Television Studios, London for Channel 4’s “The Last Resort with Jonathan Ross”. This time accompanied by Steve Nieve and the Playboys Track 10-11 – On 22 May 1989, Paul and his new band flew to Holland on a private jet to promote their new single. The Van Gogh Museum was opened specially for them. After a few hours of interviews with the Belgian and Dutch press, they rehearsed for 30 minutes at the Concordia Theatre in Bussum, before recording Countdown in front of the general public. However, the songs played back were “My Brave Face” and “How Many People”. The jammed “Batman Theme” was the only live performance. After exactly 8 hours in Holland, they returned by plane to Lid airport. Track 12 – Put It There – Recorded live in Gothenburg, Sweden, 28 September 1989. Single version from the single “All My Trials”. Track 13 – Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band – Recorded live in Los Angeles on November 23, 1989. This edit was released in 1990 on a US open reel promo with one track. Track 14 – P.S. Love Me Do – Live scribbling! Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, April 21, 1990. Released on the European 12″ single and 5″ cd single “Birthday” on October 8, 1990. Only appeared on cassette single in the US. Track 15-18 – Birthday I.D. Intro – 4 versions from Various Artists promo compilations! Track 19 – Birthday – “Birthday” single! Recorded live at Knebworth. Track 20 – 23 – Live at the Knebworth Festival, June 30, 1990. Two of the tracks are from the live album “Knebworth”, ‘Coming Up’ and ‘Hey Jude’. The video version of “Knebworth” contains four tracks in total, the two from the album, plus “Birthday” and “Can’t Buy Me Love”. Track 24 – Strawberry Fields Forever – Help – Give Peace A Chance – The Lennon Medley was recorded live at Kings Dock Arena, Liverpool on 28th June 1990 and has been released on several versions of the single “All My Trials”.
