The ultimate Wings of the 1970s, the unreleased version of “Wings Greatest,” is now available in a completely revamped and revised edition! “Wings Greatest” was Paul McCartney’s first original greatest hits album of the 1970s. It featured a selection of the best tracks from “Another Day,” his first solo single since the Beatles’ breakup in 1971, through to Wings’ 1978 release “With a Little Luck.” It also included singles that weren’t included on the album, such as “They’re the Ones Who Live,” “Junior’s Farm,” and “Dream Traveler.” This “Wings Greatest Unreleased” album is an alternate collection of previously unreleased material, featuring 12 newly remixed and remastered tracks, plus six additional tracks not featured on the album, for a total of 18 tracks. This newly edited and revised edition features a completely remixed version of the previously released album from the same label, featuring a newly selected multi-track remix and a significantly improved sound quality. CD2 features the unreleased “Wings Greatest” master recording, newly remastered and unreleased as the “Original Analog Masters” by Steve Hoffman, not released on the DCC (Audio Fidelity CD) label. Unlike typical digitally remastered CDs, this release faithfully reproduces the analog master, making the difference clear when compared to the highly acclaimed original recordings. Additionally, “Promotional Single Tracks” have been added. These single promo edit mono recordings for radio broadcasts are all directly copied from the original masters and newly restored. This expanded new edition features the original 12 tracks, newly remixed and remastered, plus six tracks not included on the album.
