The released “OUT THERE CHARLOTTESVILLE 2015” was well received as a superb recording from Paul’s 2015 tour, but after this release, a new alternate recording from the Charlottesville live performance appeared. Moreover, the sound quality is amazing! In front of the sound image and clarity that are even more powerful than the previous release, “I can’t not release this either…” I decided to release this without hesitation. Anyway, the sound image of this audience recording is close. And yet the clarity is wide. It is obvious when you listen to the repertoire that will be sold on this day, such as “One After 909” and “Temporary Secretary”. For example, in the former, Rusty Anderson’s guitar play approaches with the realism of a sound board. In the techno number “Temporary Secretary”, the beep-beep, sloppy rhythm melody sounds vivid… lol. Another attraction is that the live performance sounds more exciting than the recording originally released as “OUT THERE CHARLOTTESVILLE 2015” (laughs). However, when songs like “Temporary Secretary” start, the surroundings still become quiet. There is no doubt that many of the Charlottesville audience members gathered in anticipation of Beatles numbers… I don’t know. If this set list had been used for the Japan performance at the end of April, the whole live performance would have been a huge excitement contest. In that case, the fact that you can experience the tremendous excitement of standards like “Hey Jude” is more than the previous recording. However, when it comes to the encore “Another Girl,” even Beatles numbers become quiet as soon as the song starts. How easy to understand! It can be said that the extremes of such excitement are also a feature of this alternate recording. Moreover, the “Another Girl” heard here is even more frustrating because it is a very passionate performance… no way. However, the exchange with Paul was a big hit, and when “Yesterday” started, everyone joined in the chorus. So Paul himself must have been enjoying the live performance. This is the ultimate alternate recording with a really intense ups and downs and a sound image full of reality centered on the guitar! It’s truly “ULTIMATE SOUND”!
