Description

This DVD contains a chronological record of various very valuable TV programs from that time, reporting on Paul’s first solo performance in 1990, when he arrived as if to replace the Stones. PAUL McCARTNEY – LANDED JAPAN 1990 (DVD) Arrived at Narita Airport on 28th February 1990 ★This DVD contains a record of TV programs reporting on Paul’s arrival at the airport before his first solo visit to Japan. You can see vivid footage of Japan at the peak of the bubble era going wild for Paul, who arrived as if to replace the Stones. (To the accompaniment of the BGM “Jet”) “The whole of Japan is excited these days. The Rolling Stones’ Japan tour in February was a great success. And now, the very Paul McCartney has finally made an appearance at Narita! Moreover, he will be performing plenty of timeless Beatles classics at this Japan tour. In March, the whole of Japan will be filled with Paul fever!” (The BGM changes to “Back in the USSR”) *From the beginning of the special program “Narita Crazy! Paul McCartney” A must-see and must-have video collection for collectors, featuring various TV programs from that time reporting on Paul McCartney’s first solo visit to Japan in 1990, and his final appearance at Narita Airport. “He just arrived at Narita Airport just after 6:40 p.m.” is the opening commentary of FNN Super Time, which is accompanied by video footage. News Flash, Sports Today, and News Station were broadcast on the same night. Furthermore, on the following day, March 1st, “Talk Shower” will be broadcast from 7:00, “Yajiuma Wide” will be broadcast at the same time, “Good Morning! Nice Day” will be broadcast from 9:00, and “Catch” and “Time Three” will be broadcast from 3:00 pm. Although each broadcast is short, the vivid video reports convey the excitement of the two rock greats, Paul McCartney, who came to Japan after the Rolling Stones. As expected, the reports on the day are in a news style and a little hectic, but the entertainment-focused programs the following day will feature the event with large headlines such as “Narita Crazy! Paul McCartney” and “Fans’ Dreams Finally Come True!! Paul McCartney Comes to Japan”, and the studio comments will be longer and more prominent. “Good Morning! Nice Day” is particularly good at this kind of reporting, and it is the longest of all the programs to report on the state of Narita Airport with video footage. While other companies’ footage only features Paul with a relaxed expression in the welcoming mood of the fans, this documentary shows the enthusiastic fans waiting for Paul’s appearance (a woman standing on a suitcase *Danger!), to the airport lobby where fans and media rushed towards Paul as he appeared, causing a moment of panic, with very realistic footage. You can see the exact situation as reported in the sports newspapers at the time, “Mrs. Linda’s face was twisted.” (They even kindly filmed the panicked lobby from a camera looking down from the second floor.) Not only Linda, but Paul also had a twisted expression, and this footage will probably never be broadcast again, so it is very valuable. The image quality and sound quality are very good because it was made directly into a DVD from various air check video masters that were carefully kept by enthusiasts at the time. This is a must-have for fans. Broadcast Dates : 28th February & 1st March 1990 28th February 1990 1. FNN Super Time 2. KTV News Flash 3. Sports Today 4. News Station 1st March 1990 5. Talk Shower 6. Yajiuma Wide 7. Yajiuma Shimbun (a part of Yajiuma Wide) 8. Ohayo! Nice Day 9. Catch 10. Time:3
